I chose this hotel because of the proximity to the airport for an early morning departure. The reviews were generally good, and I had stayed at a Fiesta Americana property in Merida. it is very contemporary. They offer free shuttle to the airport but I was not able to take advantage of that because of the shuttle schedule and my flight time. I got an Uber for $5 at 3:45 AM. it has a nice restaurant, offering a fairly wide selection, but I was disappointed with my choices. The only choices for white wine by the glass were a blanc de blanc for $18 and a sparkling Spanish wine for half that amount. I ordered the blanc de blanc, black bean soup and chicken enchiladas. The portion was very generous. The enchiladas were very bland. it was hard to believe these were cooked by a chef at a prominent hotel chain in Mexico City. Despite my food disappointment, I would recommend the hotel.
