"Great little hotel in Merida. Well located, a little walk from the plaza Grande.
Leo the owner, is welcoming and very accomodating. He generously gives you tips on activities and restaurants.
The place itself is nice, well decorated. My room was of regular size, with a nice shower. It was very clean and quiet, as it was quite far from the street. AC was working very well, WIFI was good too. You can start your day with a nice coffee made by the owner, and a croissant or some sort of...

10/10 Excellent
"Other than the pool closed for repair, everything went well. The front desk and all the staff were very helpful, the breakfast was great, and the location was perfect. "
"Stay here! Trust me. The rooms are amazing, very elegantly decorated and styled. Tall ceilings (helps keep things cool). Turn down service. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing - authentic Mexican. And included in the room price. There is a nice pool but we never used it. The courtyard area is gorgeous. The location is one block from the main square! All kinds of restaurants. The buzz of the city is great. On top of all that the hospitality from the staff, and especially Sr Raul (the owner and grandson of the original builder) is second to none. Such a warm and personalable guy, great staff. Perfection! "
"The location of the Hotel is great, it is on the center of the Mérida Downtown. Very close to the Airport Bus and close to Cathedral, restaurants and stores.
It is great Hotel different to the big chain Hotels"
"I really loved staying at Gran Hotel de Merida. It was such a unique experience staying in such a beautiful historic hotel in the best location in the city. I stayed for four nights and the staff was amazing and I really appreciated all the attention to details you can see around the hotel. For example the light from the inside courtyard makes a beautiful pattern on your wall at night when it goes through the door. Anyways I would highly recommend the Gran hotel de Merida and I will absolutely be staying there again in the future. "
Romance is alive in this gorgeous old opera house in central Merida, where actors still tread the floorboards and the sweet sounds of violins fill the air.
