Clean, comfortable, spacious, and well located. Quiet, considering it’s in the heart of downtown. Breakfast was nice and all staff we met was friendly.
Wifi was a bit spotty and TV channels a bit outdated, but as a place to stay & enjoy your visit it’s a good choice.
Convient location, close to historical centre and also numerous restaurants and bars. Hotel was quiet and small pool great for cooling off. Our family enjoyed the continental breakfast.
Check in process was bad. Our room was not ready until 24 minutes after. We travel all night and wanted to rest. There should be more options for the Included Breakfast, there was only a couple items to choose from, all other items had a charge. We love tea but they never refilled it at our room. Staff was under trained but very tried very hard to help out.
Location of the hotel is close to the downtown area and our room was always very clean.
This is a great little hotel. We were very pleased with everything, the size of room and bathroom, pool area, breakfast and front desk staff. The area is very central and good walking to all the sites.
Very clean room and spacious, we only spend the night so not much to say they did have complimentary continental breakfast which we didn’t use. It’s a very small boutique hotel but well kept
My family and I enjoyed the property/location. There were many activities that were within walking distance. Our room was always cleaned when we came back from our excursions. Loved it! Shout out to the friendly staff as well!
One of my new favorite places! Kuxtal staff was excellent. They were very attentive. When I had to leave early for tour or for my next destination, they made me a to-go box with fresh fruit, sandwich, and juice. They were very helpful. The wifi was perfect. Very comfortable bed and room. I highly recommend Kuxtal for your stay in Merida.
Nice , clean and comfortable ! Had a very nice nice stay . Top notch bedding and pillows

Friendly, helpful staff that go above and beyond. Very comfortable beds, quick hot water, decent breakfast. Although right off a main road it’s quiet and peaceful. The pool area is a little oasis. Very much enjoyed my 6 day visit. Great location for accessing Mérida Centro. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
This hotel is only minutes walking to the Grand Plaza. Bed was comfy, hot water hot and the staff amazing. Lovely breakfast brought to our room every morning. The room and premises were very clean. Amazing original silver jewelry and awesome coffee literally across the street.
Very well appointed and the most comfy bed ever! Sitting areas, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Use of a microwave would have been nice, and towel bars since we like to use a few times before washing. Also a hook in the bathroom is useful. Very good value which makes up for the location. But cafes and restaurants were nearby.

Fabulous boutique hotel
This hotel is beautiful! I stayed in the king bed suite. The suite was large and comfortable. The room was well air conditioned. The service was excellent. The licatiing is very convenient for walking around the city and seeing the sights. I higjly recommend the Kuxtal Hotel.
A wonderful, friendly welcome by Alexandra and her colleague, including the advice about the local area. It felt like nothing would be too much trouble. Great, spacious room with all the facilities I needed, including coffee and a reasonably-priced and well-stocked snacks and drinks selection. My room - Aire - was at the back of the property away from the road so it was lovely and quiet. The cute little pool and secluded sun area with loungers was very much appreciated on day two. Sky TV for your fix of English language channels, including BBC World News. Great location with everything walking distance.
An oasis of tranquility in Merida. The hotel is a beautiful and sympathetically restored colonial building, both in the common areas an in the guest rooms. My room was very luxurious and spacious. Comfortable large bed, great air con and shower with plenty of hot water. Nice bathroom products. Having the fridge and coffee machine was an added bonus. The staff were lovely. My only small negative was the breakfast times, which didn’t start until 08:00. This doesn’t work if you have booked a group tour, as I did one day. The meeting time for the tour was 07:30 - 07:45. I also checked out at 07:30, so I missed two breakfasts, the cost of which was included in my room rate. A breakfast service starting at 07:00 would be helpful. Overall I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again!
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in the Premium Double room. The restroom was pretty, water pressure was very strong and it was nice to have a tv in the bedroom and another one in the living area. The bed was very comfy as seen in the reviews. It was also nice to have our breakfast brought to us each morning. The breakfast was good.
The only thing I didn't prefer is requesting the guest turn off the air condition when you leave. If we didn't, because we always forgot, the staff always turned it off. So, we always returned to a warm, stuffy room after being out in high humidity. Otherwise, the stay was very nice and quiet. I would stay again if I visited Merida again.
One of our better hotel stays in Yucatán. Room was very nice and the breakfast was a lovely perk. Great location across the street from one of the highest rated coffee shops in town. Relatively quiet hotel. There are about four rooms in total. You could hear lots of different kinds of birds really easily. Oh, and the door stop for our room was very poorly placed, only allowing no the door to open 75% of the way. It could have been placed further back. We overlooked the pool.
Room was quite nice, but we had to keep the bathroom door closed because sewage smell would come into the room otherwise. This is an issue you’ll see come up in hotels quite a bit in this area. Poor to no plumbing codes for the builds, I guess. And the bathroom required a full step up for access. Reminded me of bathrooms in Japan in that way. Ha.
My stay was very pleasant overall. The staff was cheerful and helpful, my room was very quiet even the the hotel fronts on a busy street. Air conditioning was more than adequate even on a couple of days that reached 100 F. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Very comfortable bed.
A couple of minor complaints.
My room only had one source of natural light and ventilation which were the double doors that opened from my room onto the balcony. I wanted to be able to just open the doors completely to enjoy the nice mornings, but neither door would open very far. Nothing that a carpenter couldn't fix with a little effort.
Also I was annoyed that the hotel ran out of bottled water for a couple of days. Couldn't have been too hard to send someone out to buy a case until a delivery was made. Same for sugar for the coffee in my room. There were several days when that was not available.
Small stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Our room was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The employees were very friendly, gracious and helpful. We loved our stay at Kuxtal and would highly recommend it to any one.
