Normally, I am a fan of the ibis brand of Accor, having booked over 20 nights in the past 5 years. My expectation is that wherever I go, Europe or America, the mattress is soft and the room is soundproof. Putting a thin wooden door between adjoining rooms is not a thoughtful idea at all. I can hear every sound from the adjacent room, ranging from dripping waters from their faucet to nonstop verbal conversations. The adjacent room sleeps 11:30pm and wakes up 5:30am by the way.
