Our first room smelled of rotten yogurt and the second room had mold throughout the bathroom. By the time we went to the second room we were too tired to move again but the staff didn't seem to care upon checkout about the mould

Great location for going to Marvel Stadium to watch the footy! It is also very central (or a short tram ride away) for shopping and dining options. Southern Cross Station is directly across the road which is also very convenient for trains and for the Skybus which takes you directly to the airport.

Without a doubt the worst “hotel” I have ever stayed at. The walls are paper thin and we had a meth head going off all night. Nothing was done by management. Rooms are like cleaners cupboards.

Trapped inside a broken, tiny elevator in complete darkness with the emergency phone not functioning is a major OH&S problem for the hotel and more importantly guests. No evidence of any remedial action by hotel staff taken. Needless to state, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Perfect location for travelers (train station and tour pick up/drop off close by)!! Excellent restaurant and bar on site. Quiet and comfortable room. We will definitely stay here for return trips to Melbourne!!

Title: Excellent Stay in a Convenient and Safe Location Review: My recent stay at Batman’s Hill on Collins was nothing short of excellent. Located in a safe and convenient but in hotel was very quiet, it provided a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. What truly stood out was its proximity to the shopping area, making it incredibly convenient for those looking to indulge in some retail therapy. Additionally, being just a one-minute walk from Southern Cross Station, getting around the city was a breeze. The hotel's prime location, coupled with its top-notch amenities and attentive staff, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend Batman’s Hill on Collins to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient accommodation option in the heart of the city.

The access to our room was inadequate as it was confusing which of the two lifts beside each other to use as one was only for staff use.We also could not get access to our room after returning at night to the room as a staff member had given our room to someone else while we were out and they had entered our room which had our private belongings and luggage in.it took a good half our to find someone, late at night to tell him our cards didnt work so we couldnt get in to sleep .

Central location, rooms were not always cleaned, staff were unaware on how to set up wifi or assist with ongoing issues with tv. Requests had to be made a few times before staff could help out. Bar staff advertised cocktails and didn’t know how to make them or a mocktail. Room smelt like mould. Air conditioner would stop working of a night. Beds were not comfortable. Housekeeping hadn’t serviced the room when signage was left out early in the morning requesting it. As hotel was at capacity, room rates had sky rocketed and we paid around $1400 for a weekend, a lot of money for the services that were not provided. Unfortunately the only positive about this accommodation was its location.

We had a corner king premier room, nice trees outside but onto Collins St so quite noisy early in the morning but that is standard for inner city accommodation. Room was spacious and bathroom was great. Location is perfect, tram stop outside and Southern Cross station diagonally opposite. Check in staff were great and very helpful plus held our bags for our check out day. Would stay again.

Nothing unique about this property. They did participate in a green program so after checking in on Friday afternoon we opted to go green an not have our room serviced/ towels changed on Saturday. However nowhere in the brochures or at checkin were we advised that the rooms were not serviced on Sundays which meant no clean towels until Monday afternoon after having spent three days at the tennis. Ordinarily this would have been ok only that the shower leaked and we unfortunately had to use the towels to mop up the floor in order to get dressed etc. We had to ask several times for clean towels to be provided.

We had an awful experience at this hotel. We booked for 7 nights and upon checking into our room could smell a really strong bleach stench. We opened all the windows and turned the bathroom exhaust fan on for 30 minutes trying to get rid of the smell, but all it did was reveal a new smell of urine. It smelled like someone had urinated in the room and bleach was used to try and cover it up instead of a proper clean. My partner was getting a headache and started feeling nauseous because of the strong smell. We told the front desk and they didn’t seem to care. We asked to move to a different room, but they had none available. The only option they gave us was to pay an additional $600 to upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. We decided to cancel our booking, and we were advised to contact Expedia for a refund. 3 days later, Expedia tells us they called the hotel several times and the hotel refused to refund our booking every time. Very poor customer service and overall experience. Luckily Expedia was able to resolve the issue for us. Now that I’ve thoroughly read the reviews for this hotel, I notice many mentioning the rooms are musty or mouldy or have a very bad smell. This was our experience too, and a thick layer of dust over everything as well. Great location and affordable price but cannot recommend.
