"The usual high standards we have come to expect from this hotel, with some caveats. In the room the air conditioning, once so easy to operate has been changed, and is now complicated and unresponsive. Breakfast provision is outstanding, however, the service is not as good as it once was. Slow to clear tables and offer hot drinks, and the staff our not welcoming as we had become accustomed to from previous visits "

"Ideal location between Melbourne CBD and St Kilda, hotel is @400m walk from tram stop & only @15 mins tram ride to Palais Theatre. Found room very comfortable, only 2 coffee sachets but 8 tea bags. Shower space roomy. Staff very friendly & apologetic as one of the lifts was out of action but not a big issue for us."
