It's a bit far from any major city, which required renting a car (not a fan of driving in Italy), but leaving the busy cities and returning there to relax at the end of the day in a hot tub overlooking the sea was definitely worth it. We were welcomed with a generous gift basket filled with delicious treats, including one of the best wines I ever tasted. Beatrice was great about keeping in touch and making sure that we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend."

The setting right on the Tyrrhenian sea is extraordinary and has been a vacation destination since the time of the romans. La Posta Vecchia was originally built in the 17th century and updated by J. Paul Getty in the 60s when it served as his personal home. It unlike any place we have ever stayed, and the extraordinary staff, food and easy access to central Italy made it one of the most relaxing destinations ever. We did day trips through Italy but were always ready to return for a swim and such wonderful food that we never wanted to dine elsewhere. incredibly special place. "
