Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa

Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa

8/10 Good
"The Hilton Fiji is a beautiful property and, overall, has a lot to offer. There's multiple pools and dining options, and its spread out, it never feeling overcrowded. We had a 1 br unit with kitchen, laundry and ocean view. Unfortunately, what should have been a relaxing and special stay to celebrate a milestone birthday was significantly affected by an issue with our room. Our room was part of an adjoining-room configuration. For the first three nights of our seven-night stay, the adjoining room was unoccupied, so we were unaware of the problem. On the fourth day, guests checked into the room next door. That evening, we discovered, after contacting reception, that the hot-water system servicing both rooms is located inside the laundry cupboard in our room.Every time the guests next door used hot water, the burner in our cupboard would switch on. The noise was incredibly loud — comparable to a 747 taking off — and was particularly disruptive during the night, well into the early hours of the morning, resulting in repeated disturbances and significantly disrupted sleep. We raised the issue with the duty manager, who said that, due to the hotel being at full capacity, we couldn't be moved to a new room. We don't feel that a $400 room credit is sufficient compensation for three nights of severely disturbed sleep, particularly given that we had paid for a five-star experience, and would appreciate Hilton reconsidering this in light of the significant impact this had on our stay."

"I just wrapped up an incredible solo trip to Fiji, and my stay at the Radisson Blu was easily the highlight—entirely because of the phenomenal staff. Traveling alone can sometimes feel a bit isolating, but the team here made me feel completely welcome and right at home from the absolute moment I arrived. Every single department knocked it out of the park: • The Porters: The second my ride pulled up, I was hit with huge smiles and a massive, warm "Bula!" They grabbed my bags immediately and set the perfect, stress-free vibe for the rest of the trip. • Check-In: The front desk team made the whole check-in process a total breeze. They were efficient, professional, and genuinely nice, getting me sorted and into vacation mode without any delay.Shoutout to Rami. • The Restaurant Staff: Eating alone can sometimes feel awkward, but the crew at the restaurant made it a great experience. They were incredibly attentive, always anticipating what I needed, and served up amazing food with genuine hospitality.(The breakfast manager and staff) • The Bar Crew: These guys were fantastic. They brought such great energy to the lounge, made excellent drinks, and were always up for a quick, friendly chat or a solid recommendation.(Salome) • Housekeeping: My room was kept absolutely spotless. The housekeeping team was meticulous, thorough, and always made sure the room felt like a clean, relaxing sanctuary to head back to at the end of the day.I will defenately return and recommend the Radisson Bl"

"We arrived before check-in time. Our Villa wasn't ready yet, but we were allowed to use the pool, which was very much appreciated as it was a beautiful sunny day. The Villa was clean and had all the amenities (fridge, coffee, tea, sugar, kettle etc) needed for a relaxing stay. The gardens looked amazing and we enjoyed a couple of swims in the nice pool. Dinner at the restaurant was very delicious. We loved the location so close to the airport, which meant we were able to walk from the hotel to the airport. Surprisingly there wasn't much noise from the planes. We would definitely stay at Tokatoka resort again."

When is the best time to go to Malolo Island?
The best time to go to Malolo Island is during Fiji's dry season, which runs from May to October.During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days with lower humidity, making it ideal for enjoying the island's outdoor activities and stunning beaches. The ocean is typically calm and clear, great for snorkelling, diving, and other water sports. This period is also popular for whale watching, with humpback whales often sighted in the surrounding waters. For couples seeking a romantic getaway, travelling in May or early June offers excellent weather before the peak school holiday crowds arrive. You'll find the resorts slightly quieter, allowing for a more intimate experience while still enjoying all the island has to offer.Families travelling with children will find July and August particularly good, coinciding with many school holidays. While it's a busier period, the reliable weather ensures plenty of opportunities for kids to enjoy the beaches, pools, and activities without interruption from rain. While November to April is Fiji's wet season, characterised by higher humidity and a greater chance of tropical showers, it can still be a good time to visit for those looking for fewer crowds and potentially lower prices.
