Double tree Hilton Sonasali, is terrible, the staff are rude, the island is about 15 minutes or 15klms from the main road, and about a further 20 minutes to Nadi town. Bures are old and dated and spread across a large island, so takes quite sometime to walk from your Bure to hotel facilities. The Bure has issues with electrical the tv has limited channels I counted 6, only 1 is Australian. Resort fees are very costly, you are charged $11 Australian for a bottle of Fiji water & $7 Australian for each room service, the food at the restaurants is below average, and the buffet breakfast is always cold. Management are very unprofessional and lack transparency, it took 22 days for me to get my refund back from this hotel after been promised 14 days, this took a lot patience and perseverance also cost me substantial because I had to continue to call the hotel once back home in Australia.
When you order a taxi from the main island, the staff there call there family who come to collect you in there own private mini buses, they charge what they like and argue with you when you ask for a metered taxi.
Overall my 9 night stay here was below average, I had 3 rooms changes in 2 days, spoke with Wati and Norm the hotel manger and duty manger, the Bure was noisy, lacked privacy, was very bright so couldn’t sleep in, sand was walked through Bure daily, no outdoor floor mats provided. The fridge in room woundnt get cold, the airconditioning struggled, customer service didn’t exists.
