We had a newly renovated room and this was great. Our cleaner was the loveliest person on the island. Sadly that’s where the enjoyment stopped. The rest of the property amenities are in a very poor state. No working washing machines. Restaurant toilets a terrible state (smelly and water everywhere). Water toys ok but given covid I’m not sure of snorkel and mask cleanliness. They were soaking in water but not sanitizer. Staff not that interested in creating work for themselves. Didn’t put breakfast menus out (hid them it seemed). So it appeared only the breakfast buffet was available. Dinner buffet not worth the $70 best to order from the menu although the regularly change the prices. Sometimes the pizza was $23 and other times it was $36 but it was exactly the same one. Internet extremely poor, worked on 2 occasions over 4 days for about 30 mins in public area otherwise zilch.

Beautiful beach and stuff for the kids to do(kayak, snorkling, crab hunt, pool, mini-golf, swimming,tennis) and friendly staff. Be careful using the Mamanuca Express for your transfer as they had us waiting at the port for three hours ( saying 20 mins wait and then trying to recommend we buy another taxi boat trf at our own cost) and also a 30 mins on arrival at the airport. Staff at the resort itself were super friendly. All in all, an amazing time.

Huge gap between expectations & reality. More like camping (not glamping) then a luxury resort. Resort has not recovered from Covid but can see the potential. Overall, my family had an enjoyable & relaxing stay even with the many problems. Some of theses are: 1. Run down rooms with AC and plumbing issues - did not enjoy the cold shower - poor quality linens & some with stains 2. Limited food opts: no vegetarian or keto choices - only Instant coffee & poor quality. Food takes a looong time if not eating from the buffet. Food & drinks are very expensive & there are no other options on the island. 3. Very few activities- ex: only 1 jet ski available to rent 4. Incorrect bill - staff fixed but was initially over charged by $800 5. Frequent power cuts 6. Pool green & not swim able 7. Spa expensive & service disappointing 8. Only store on island is very poorly stocked 9. No wifi in rooms 10. Not value for $$; paid luxury rates for at best 2 star quality Positives: great kids club, beautiful beach, nice snorkelling, and staff tried to remedy problems Staff are warm & friendly. Hope they recover and bring resort up to standards. Would not recommend if wanting a luxury experience. Beautiful location but after 3 days was ready to go home.

Dump in Paradise! No words can describe how genuinely bad this resort is. Actually I wouldn’t call it a resort, I would call it a floating rubbish dump. Expedia describes this “dump” as a luxury island with fantastic facilities in paradise. Yes the surrounding ocean is beautiful, but that’s where it all stops. For close to $500 Australian a night you would expect some basic amenities and facilities, what we got was a hahahaha, massive joke! Why you ask? Here’s why; - Disgusting unclean rooms and facilities. -Power that cuts in and out throughout the day as someone turns the generator switch back on every hour. -A toilet that has not been cleaned in 7 years with remains to prove it. -An aircon, or so we thought. It had no remote and was set on 24. Although it acted more as a heater so we turned it off at the wall. -Apparently 4 restaurants to pick from. We only seen one area you could describe as a restaurant. Although it severed a hefty $50 Australian buffet that consisted of bolognaise, sausages and bread rolls each night. The bread rolls were good tho, I give them a 5 for that! -A green swimming pool that I wouldn’t go near. -Run down and broken facilities and equipment. It should not be standing! -Wifi. Well apparently you get wifi but it works only In the dining area and it runs occasionally at 1984 speeds if at all. -You order 5 times to get that drink you ordered the 1st time, and it’s still not what you ordered! -1 towel for 4 days. That doesn’t dry.

The beach & island are idyllic & very natural & even when near capacity, it’s not crowded - great for unwinding. the accomodation rustic, clean and comfortable with aircon. Fabulous weather & great snorkling, cute turtles and iguanas. Sadly, many facilities/services/eating options listed on the website are still not available post Covid (eg, cafe/2 restaurants & many water sports/leisure activities.)the resort is severely understaffed. The closures/unavailable services etc…should have been flagged on Website (like many other hotels & resort so visitors understand what is or isn’t available before they book and expectations are managed- there were many disappointed guests when we visited. check before you book. There was only one restaurant (alacarte or buffet) which is open at set times and the alacarte dinner was v poor & typically required a 45mins -1.5 hrs wait from ordering.However, special “private”BBQ or Teppanyaki option were fabulous & the chefs were entertaining- but not feasible to book this every night. understaffing meant that the service was haphazard and the staff were overworked eg the ladies that cleaned the rooms were wonderful and cheerful, but we had no towels or water for 3 consecutive days until we had asked various people each day inc reception 3-4 times. It just got forgotten. Mixed feelings about our stay:idyllic & charming- but currently misdescribed and understaffed-booked & paid for a “renovated deluxe seaview”: got unrenovated basic seaview
