I loved the location, the layout and the complimentary amenities What would have improved our experience was access to more food options and at a reduced price.

We stayed in the beachfront bure - those are adults-only rooms. They provide you with 2 bottles of water and a jar of Fijian shortbread cookies every day. The bed was comfortable. Overall: clean, spacious, and modern. We didn't like that the bathroom is not super private from the bedroom. The door is a slatted closet door. The ceiling space between the bedroom and bathroom has an opening. Needs more towels, too. No TV in ours. The WiFi was terrible. Great porch with chairs to enjoy the ocean view. There are some free activities included. We did the snorkeling trips. The snorkeling is fantastic. If I were there longer, I'd set up a snorkeling tour - it would be worth the cost, which are not too pricey. We ate most of our meals at Dick's Restaurant, a short walk from our room. The breakfast was good. Lunch and dinner are somewhat pricey (for Fiji), more on-par with American restaurant prices. The waitstaff is friendly. You don't tip here (or in Fiji in general). You donate to the staff Christmas Fund at the end of your stay. There is a small market/convenience store that has drinks, snacks, and other necessities. We also got massages and would do that again. MC was a better choice for us than the next door resort of Plantation Island. That place was super busy - lots of families and kids. They also have a dance/night venue that we could hear in our room at night. All in all, our stay at MC was pleasant and the snorkeling was awesome.
