The hotel itself was good, there was a really strong cleaning product smell when we arrived, it went through the whole property so if you're sensitive to smells be warned. As all other reviews mentioned the breakfast is excellent, it includes a hot breakfast as well. The bed was amazing too. The only downside is the location which felt a bit rough, on the train platform there were some weird and crazy people yelling and swearing so just be mindful of that when travelling with young children. We had an amazing time in NYC. The hotel was amazing, has that vintage style but the rooms inside are renovated. Staff were amazing as well very helpful, always there to greet us with beautiful smiles. We would definitely stay there again.

Fab hotel! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything. Clean, modern, and well set up. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s totally expected in NYC, and you’re hardly in them anyway so it really wasn’t an issue. Staff were lovely, housekeeping was excellent and done daily. Would absolutely recommend and would happily stay again. Fab!

Excellent location, so close to grand central and walkable to lots of attractions. The first room I was in was very noisy because of either the main street or ventilation, but the staff was so helpful and changed the room for me. Room is not so spacious but way more enough for a solo traveller. Clean and comfortable. They also have free walking tours available which is good. I’ll stay in pod 39 again if I come back :)

everything was great, apart from being in an area where there are junkies everywhere and strong smell of cannabies. The room service / housekeeping was missed one day which was the most annoying part. apart from these two hiccups, we loved the staff.

The hotel is situated in heart of New York Times Square. The lobby has grand appearance with winding stairs leading to rock star studded wall in the restaurant. We were bit short on time to enjoy the restaurant, but it is worth spending some time even just to have a cup of coffee.
