The staff at this hotel were the most helpful that I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble, we thought it was the best experience. The hotel is so well located with lots of cafes and bars and culture on the doorstep. Everywhere is walkable. We will be back for sure!

Excellent location in walking distance for the big art galleries and super tapas bars locally. All of the staff were helpful particularly those who served breakfast. A nice touch is the light snacks and drinks available in the afternoon. We would certainly recommend La Catalonia for a visit to Madrid.

It was very conveniently located. The staff, especially Mariano was very helpful, especially when my husband had problems with his flight being cancelled. The hotel was spacious and close to all the sites we wanted to see, including the Prado and the Reina Sophia museum. We could easily walk to Sol and the Plaza Mayor. Lots of dining options all around.

Not worth your money
Great location with walking distance to all famous tourist places, restaurants and shopping. But the room is so small with no space to walk at all. Bathroom is very basic.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Madrid
Checked in with Javi and he not only reviewed the hotel amenities with us, He also gave us a map circling all the sites we should see and going over everything. Reception area, bar area and sitting area all very lovely. Beautiful original staircase up to our room on the third floor. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and a large comfortable bed. Plenty of lighting and French doors overlooking a side street. Plenty of plugs for charging all of our electrical devices, complementary tea and coffee for the morning and a nice big bathroom with tub/shower and great water pressure. Location was terrific midway between the Prado and the palace. Javi made reservations for dinner for us and had great suggestions for other eateries.

Fabulous location to everything in the historical district. We stayed in a junior suite which offered spacious elegance with comfortable seating and bedding. Afternoon snacks offered were similar each day and only average. This boutique hotel's staff was excellent to deal with providing personal details for dining suggestions and directions to city attractions. It would have been helpful to have a hand railing in the shower area.

Excellent choice! Very nice hotel with helpful staff located in a great location close by Santa Ana Plaza and 10 min walk to several points of interest. Beds were very comfortable, room was spacious, bathroom also roomy with very nice shower pressure. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fab stay in heart of Madrid
Lovely hotel, in a bustling area, lots of bars and eateries..hotel close to all the great sites Madrid has to offer. Staff very friendly, smiling and helpful. Special mention goes to breakfast waiter! Good night's sleep, comfortable bed, very quiet...plus every afternoon, nice selection of sandwiches, croissants, and drinks for guests!

Central location; fantastic breakfast; large king size bed (8 feet wide); free coffee and free food (salads, croissants, bread, soup, hot dishes, sandwiches) during the day; nice sitting room; good shower; Only negative was a not so great air conditioning - it gets the room temperature down to maybe 23 celcius. Overall a very good hotel. I really liked the breakfast (fresh orange juice, fresh bread, cheese selection, chocolate croissants, full hot breakfast items).

Location plus high standard
Understated hotel. Excellent location. Good sized rooms and bathrooms and well presented lobby area. Would definitely recommend. The Catalonia chain is well known for its high standards. This hotel is no exception.

The hotel room was very plain. No pictures on the wall. Not enough with mirror options. 2 people in the bathroom was tight. No iron or other niceties typically offered in the rooms. It was a comfortable room but some of the normal freebies were not available.

A gem in downtown Madrid
This is one of the best hotel we’ve stayed at, and that’s comparing hotels in many countries. It definitely warrants the 4-star rating with its newly renovated condition and superb service, Mariano and Javl were always patient with our questions and requests. All staff members were professional and courteous. We couldn’t have asked for a better locations, all sightseeing hotspots were within 5-15 min walking distance. We didn’t have to use taxi, metro or bus. The afternoon snacks were a great feature, the options were surprisingly good.

Beautiful stay at quiet, elegant hotel in a convenient location on the Calle Del Prado, which was a beautiful, small tree-lined street and less busy than expected. Easy walk to the Prado, Reiña Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums. Close to numerous restaurants, small cafes, small shops and a few plazas with outdoor dining that were more touristy. Quick walk to Antón Martín Metro stop. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast at the hotel.

Perfect hotel, perfect location
We had a wonderful stay at Catalonia Las Cortes Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and quiet. The bathroom had both a shower and a tub. The hotel is on a small street with flowering trees (in spring) near the Prado, near restaurants and not far from the San Miguel market.
