"We loved our stay! All the staff were extremely friendly. One thing to be aware of is this property is about 30mins from main road (you get there on a rocky road) we had an SUV and didn’t have an issue. If you are looking for something private and intimate I highly recommend. The hotel has a cute private beach with cabanas that are nice and clean. We loved the paddle boards and snorkeling gear hotel provided (I highly recommend going snorkeling so much fish right around). Food was tasty (tho if you are staying more than 4 days you might be running out of options) and drinks were great! We would definitely return! "

"The place has a beautiful beach but the rooms are like a inexpensive motel in USA, no TV, only water. But the price is because of the location the best beach you can find."

"Great time at Hotel Hondo! So thankful for the AC and quiet area where we could decompress. Super easy walk into town to many good restaurants as well as beach. Staff was incredibly easy to communicate with and met us stay a couple hours later before hitting the road to our next place. Thank you!! "

"Rachel and Dave have created four authentic Mexican attached "townhouses." The place was well equipped and had a beautiful pool area. Each unit had a private outdoor patio with a table and four chairs and a rooftop BBQ with a covered table and six chairs. "

"This is a beautiful property in an incredible location. The beach is private with no motor traffic. Whale watching was outstanding. The beach is rocky and not ideal for long walks. There was not enough wind for kiteboarding during our stay. I think I could have launched from Waynes boat ramp, but definitely not for the novice. LB is a bit of a drive, but easy enough to get most of our meals in the unit. Wayne and Ann are gracious and generous hosts. They hosted a Super Bowl party for the small neighborhood and included us. The unit is new, large, well designed and comfortable. Wayne and Ann live in the adjacent house by the pool. We used the kayaks several times and flailed away in the horse shoe pits. Excellent stay!"

"Phenomenal property like visiting a museum with all of the world travel items throughout the home! Very clean, well stocked. The kitchen is amazing and many items for cooking meals in the home. Trish, the property manger was very easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. We had a great time, the home is in great location with a stunning view! We saw whales and rays from the upper porch area. We look forward to coming back soon!!"
