"Relaxing oasis "
The staff are extremely nice and accommodating! They pay very close attention to detail and don't skimp on anything. Provided breakfast and gave free ride and paddle board rental to the beach. Felt at home and they were always around to answer any questions and guide us in the right direction!!! Well done!!

"Family trip to beachside village."
We like to do activity based travel, and Palmas was a great home base to do this from. There is a great deal to do in the area, and the hotel is central to all of it. Fishing, ATV trips, hiking, mountain biking, diving/snorkeling, kite boarding and windsurfing are all available. We arranged fishing right at the hotel, and our 9 year old (a passionate angler) caught a Marlin. It was a dream come true for him - thanks Captain A! What we don't like is to drop into a resort and stay on premise for a week, and while Palmas has a lot to do on site, I'd recommend it most for people who like to get out as well. The multiple pools at the hotel are great and our kids enjoyed them and the beach on a daily basis. We ate breakfast at the hotel most days, and did lunch and dinner either out in the village or during an activity with supplies from Chapito's - the grocery store is a 5 minute walk away. We also like the fact that Los Barriles isn't overly touristy - it's the opposite of Cabo San Lucas. There are quite a few expats in the area, but it's still got a mellow local vibe, rather than being overrun with foreigners looking to party. Overall a highly recommended location for families wanting a local experience and a lot of fun things to do, and we will certainly return for more adventures.

"Rustic campground feel"
We had a really good time here. I'm not a big camper and I think this place is more geared to that type of person but I enjoyed myself none the less. We rented a 4 wheeler for a day which was the high light of our experience. We flew a kite, 4 wheeled on the beach and through and around town, walked down the beach, ate out and cooked in the kitchen as well. A little bit of everything. We felt very comfortable. The ocean is right down the road but it is rocky so expect quite a walk up the beach before you hit sandy water. Or you could get an ATV!!

"Secluded hotel on the cliff overlooking coral reef"
Great place for quite getaway. Staff were excellent and helpful at every need. The drive to hotel is on a dirt road. We made with little difficulty in small rental car. Snorkeling is first rate and literally right out you hotel room door. The food was good, you don't need to leave the property. A great relaxing trip after 4 night in Cabo.

"Quiet and comfy"
Positives; Had the place to ourselves mid January. Hotel was clean, beds were comfy, rooms and hotel were quiet, beach was close-50 steps away close. Location VERY remote but COMPLETELY accessible sssshhhhhh DON'T TELL anybody hehehehe. Negatives: Hard to use the pool with the sulfur smell and to be perfectly honest, water was probably too cold (Ocean was warmer) Would be really nice to have comfy seating in rooms and spread over the hotel. The modern seating is suitable but I was looking for a place to lounge with some more comfort. Food was tasty but became repetitive

"Secluded getaway on the beach"
My husband and I stayed in a pop-up-camper at Cabo Pulmo Eco Palapa for two nights and had a great experience. The establishment is in the middle of the Cabo Pulmo National Park, and we woke up to sounds of the ocean and a great view of the sunrise out of our screened window every morning. The camper was clean and equipped with refrigerator and a memory foam mattress on each of the beds. :) Also, there were common shower and cooking areas, with all of the cooking equipment you need to make a good meal (but be sure to bring your own food). There is a nearby town, though, with a few small restaurants to visit if you don't feel like cooking. The owner and managers were very friendly, giving us directions to the nearby coral reef (Playa Los Arbolitos), and even loaning us snorkeling gear. If you're looking for a peaceful experience in nature and/or a great snorkeling/scuba spot, this is the place for you. One word of caution, though, rent a jeep (or another 4-wheel drive car), as many of the roads to get to this hotel are dirt with lots of large rocks and potholes. Also, don't use the southern part of the coastal road if you plan to visit Cabo San Lucas...I really wouldn't even classify this as a road, even though Google maps does (we learned the hard way that we should use the interior road instead).

"Remarkable place, amazing location on the sea..."
Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you want to get off the beaten path. Rooms were beautiful, food was delicious, not to mention the margaritas.
