The area is on top of natural hot thermal springs and some spots along the waters edge are actually to hot to stand on because of the thermals. The resort is decent, but definitely is in need of some TLC. At one time this must have been a top notch place to stay, but everything is looking a little tired. The staff is friendly and they do keep the grounds manicured and in good condition. The food is decent with good portions and reasonably priced. The beach and ocean was the highlight of our stay. We were able to walk for hours along the beach.

First thing was the friendly staff. Your front desk was very welcoming. The food at the restaurant was very good. The grounds were well kept. The quiet ocean beach walks and natural hotspring tub were highlights.

This was a cute hotel on the beach, although it was further out of town than expected, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the staff was sweet, pool and hot tub was nice, and the restaurant was surprisingly good (they even had vegan options which was a big surprise). Our only complaint is the wifi is terrible. If you are planning to work, this isn't the place to do it from.

This is an iconic hotel in the area. It’s well located, and you can’t beat the views. Although the no-frills property is dated and could use some TLC, it’s got everything you need. The restaurant serves excellent food and staff were friendly.

The geothermal water was amazing! The property itself is run-down and outdated, especially the pool. The warm ocean and beautiful, almost deserted beaches made up for it. With even 10% improvement, the resort would be exceptionally beautiful. For the price, I would recommend it.

We got different room category than we had booked and already paid. We showed the lady at the reception the confirmation from Expedia and she told us we had to buy an Upgrade to get the Sea view and hammock which were explicitly mentioned in the confirmation from Expedia as our room category! What’s worse, the room we got was right next to the kitchen, with a ridiculously loud a/c going all night except between 5:30 and 6 am, I hardly got to sleep. The food was pretty good (even though there were few veggie options), but overall it’s obvious the place has seen better days. We won’t be back here.

Friendly staff, excellent service. We thought the restaurant here was very good! The room was comfortable and nice. Not super high end but overall a good value. Great location on the beach, which was quiet and calm when we were there. We did not swim in the pool but it looked nice. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel/property is right on a great stretch of beach. There’s not really anything else immediately around the property in terms of dining options or things to do, but Los Barilles is a short drive away. The restaurant on site is quite good. Overall, it’s a nice hotel and location for a quiet and relaxing beach vacation.
