STEPPED ON NAIL IN ROOM
This was my worst hotel experience ever, even considering price, which was comparable to quality hotels nearby. I picked it over these, because I usually prefer hostels, and the name sounded good in that sense, but I only met people from the area, which is a bad neighbourhood. / I STEPPED ON A NAIL GOING INTO THE BATHROOM, WHICH PIERCED MY SKIN. They did not refund me anything in spite of this. / They had a private party on the premisses, which played very loud music untill 12, which is ok, but they could have informed me. / Room was not very clean, and very worn out. / The bathtub didnt have the plug to take a bath, and only warm water for a very short shower. / Staff was generally rude, and even talked bad about other customers when I stood there. NEVER USE THIS HOSTEL.

I couldn’t stay sleep there . The front desk said i am not allow sleep there because i live in California. Front desk said only international only . Hotel.com didn’t tell me which is wasted my time . Very disappointed

So I like how it s an old Motor Lodge set up along with some older bungalow style properties. I stay in a lot of hostels across thr globe and always appreciate the ingenuity of making properties work for this adaptation. Front desk staff is on it and really nice. It s in a older, challenged neighborhood and thats part of why it's so cheap- so be prepared for that. Entirely safe, just a challenged area. Busses drop you off a couple blocks away. easy peasy. CVS is a blocknaway. Pool, wonderful latin market and lots of mom and pops all around. Q

Poor service and the bed provided for me had not been cleaned, still used old sheets and there was a bug crawling over me. Really bad experience in this hostel.

Didn't like this at all..it resembled a cattle shed..no one told me where the showers were, if there were any..After a long flight you do deserve some service.Other occupants in the Hostel were arguing during the night about moving too much in the bunk. Over all it was horrid and will not stay there again.

Well the property front was under street construction. It was a bit rough to find, park to check-in. After that hassle it was a "you get what you paid for" with stay type options. I choosed the shared dorm it was okay mind your bunkbed neighbors. If ya don't wanna spend too much & enjoy beach L.A. cities this is the place, just dont expect qaulity room luxuries in shared dorms thats where you muscle up more pay for a room.

Only stayed for a few hours as it was cheap and I had a late flight. The 20 bed dorm was in some Porto cabins that looked like they needed tearing down. The bathrooms were horrible and the whole room had a dank feel. The bedding and sheets were clean thou but I was glad I wasn't staying the night

Do not waste your time
I booked one of the bunk beds and prepaid for it. Once at the hostel the attendant checked me in only to tell me I couldn't stay there because I didn't have an international passport. So if your a tax paying US citizen then you don't matter to them. The same thing happened to me here a year ago. The lady first told me I would have to go somewhere else but then relented. All I wanted was a place to sleep before my plane the next day. I'll never book here again.

Scammers! They do not honor the booked price. When you arrive they will tell you have to pay more per day. So you have to pay more or lose everything.

Cool property
It's a large, diverse property. For what it is it's great. They have a restaurant and lounge on property. I had big burger and fries, a couple of beers, and crashed out in my room. There were people playing pool, swimming, or just hanging out. For a solo guy like me padding through add just needing a place to crash for the night I really enjoyed it.

Great value for money
Absolute great value for money. I am so happy that i did take a chance to stay here despite some of the bad reviews seen about the place. Easy access to a lot of places, clean room and beddings daily, pleasant guest relations service - those Front Desk Staff are amazing, free glass of champaign every evening and other freebies. I'm still enjoying my stay because it really does get comfortable as the days go by. It's indeed a great value for money.
