The staff were very nice, there was work going on in the hotel so it wasn’t the tidiest or cleanest; most of it was avoidable. The beds were awful; very uncomfortable and the bathroom needed updating as the shower tray was chipped and marked all over and it made it look dirty. The toilet seat also needed tightening etc. The room wasn’t hoovered/ mopped properly from previous guests or while we were there, they just made the beds and put in fresh towels, but there wasn’t a sign to put on the door if you didn’t want it done. I know you can tell them at reception, but it’s just the smaller details they maybe need to improve on. The WiFi wasn’t great, a bit temperamental especially if on O2! You couldn’t watch much tv as it wasn’t tuned in correctly and you couldn’t watch all the normal terrestrial channels, so limited. Netflix was there, but you couldn’t get on to it. I know tv isn’t the most important thing, but if there’s one there it should work properly. We went to that hotel as it seemed to be a reasonable price for the area and for the convenience of getting to the places we wanted to go. However, in reality, there were lots of little areas that needed attention, which combined made it quite disappointing, but could easily be fixed. We enjoyed our trip, but after long days exploring we needed a bit of comfort and proper sleep :(

The staff were pleasant and the room itself was clean, but not very enjoyable to stay in. There is construction inside and outside of the property. The construction started loudly in the morning, and there are scaffoldings up in front of the buildings. The scaffold directly outside my room was filthy, covered with nails and pieces of wooden and plaster debris. It is very warm inside the whole building, so you need to open the windows for air and pull the heavy curtains aside to allow the breeze through. This leaves the whole room visually exposed to anyone on the opposite side of the street, a slightly disconcerting feeling as a single female traveller.

Hotel is in an excellent position close to Paddington station and Kensington Gardens. And cheap. The room was clean but very basic and in the basement near to the place where the cleaning staff have their stuff. The a/c made a loud buzzing noise at varying intervals even when switched off We stayed only one night and the only staff member we came into contact with was the guy on the front desk who was pleasant and helpful. Also there is some renovation going on with scaffolding outside. So the hotel is a great choice for anyone who wants a cheap stay in an excellent central London location and doesn’t want to spend much time in the hotel

Room looks more like a private hostel room. Several of d lights not working. Front desk was not rude but not helpful. Door was locked when we came n no one came to door when we buzzed. We had to go out n ask ppl smoking in d alley who later turned out to be staff n just told us to go around d corner ! This was in the rain! Not very helpful to tourists esp those not from Europe. The area though is nice . Very close to Paddington station, Hyde Park n kensington palace and gardens. Short train rides to all d tourist spots: Trafalgar Square, Buckingham palace, Big Ben , etc

It was excellent for the price. Clean. I stayed in early Spring and it was warm. It might get quite hot in the room in the summer but there is a fan mounted on the wall. Most hotels have a crummy TV at this price bracket. My room had a decent large screen TV with Netflix etc. I would stay again.

We arrived very early and were able to check in early too. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the cleaning service was good. The hotel is in a great area, lots of shops and restaurants. It has easy access to buses, the tube and the railway station. The rooms have all you need for a short stay in inner London. .

A fantastic hotel within walking distance from Paddington. Easy check in and check out. The room set up was slightly odd with a bed in the way of one of the cupboards. But overall a fantastic stay.

Very happy with my stay.
I stayed overnight in a refurbished twin room in the basement. It was quiet, warm, extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are friendly and I will definitely return.

There wasn't any clothing hook in the bathroom so it was inconvenient, the wifi signal was intermittent and would disconnect at times. Overall the hotel was alright and very walkable to Paddington station.

Waste of Money
Worst ever experience in my whole Life. The room was totally different as shown in pictures. Room was full of damages, Mini TV which doesn’t even work properly, toilet full of mould smell. Cheap hand soaps and shampoo in the toilet. The whole night there was banging noise outside the room. There was some repairing work in the hotel which started around 7-8 in the morning and the noise really disturbed me and did not let me sleep. When I complained about the noise He ( the person on reception who can not even speak good English) What should I do then? The service was disgusting and the person on reception was very very Rude. The most frustrating thing is that I forgot my house keys in the room and when I called them to ask , he denied and just ignored my query saying me that” No We don’t find any keys, and hung up. If anyone wants to waste their money Go ahead

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. But be aware, rooms are tiny !!! Which is normal in expensive European cities like Paris or London. Think of a college dormitory room, to only go to sleep. But the price was 1/4 of "normal hotels" in the area, so it was a good deal.

Wouldn’t stay again.
The room was absolutely tiny. Not what is advertised online, not enough room for 2 people to stay in and get ready in. We said about this on our departure and we’re told we could have swapped rooms but it was said they were fully booked so can’t see how we could have swapped and either way someone else would have ended up in our tiny room. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and there was not enough space to put our belongings.

Great location average hotel
Hotel is in a great location with easy access to lots of stuff. Food and drinks in the area were the best! Hotel does not have a lift and some of the rooms are tiny but they have what you need.

Room is clean and tidy. by the room is very small and I booked a triple room which in the website I saw three beds, at the end, I can only got two small double beds. And the room is freezing which the heating can’t be adjusted which is too bad.
