It served the purpose and was clean - not strikingly so, but clean. It looks a little tired - when we checked in a lady was complaining that her shower door fell off. During my stay the towel rack fell off. Fantastic location, two blocks to the underground, and within the same block was LAUNDRY SERVICE, a couple of cafes, and a pub. Also close to other restaurants and Hyde Park, but still quiet in our block.

They are going through a renovation, so there were no amenities. We had to enter through a side door which was not locked. Our room was very nice and the staff were great. We only went into the lobby to check in and out.

Very convenient location just minutes away from Hyde Park. There's also a laundromat next door and some cute restaurants in the same street. The Lancaster tube station and bus stops are really close by walking so it was easy to get around downtown. The rooms were very small - I stayed with a friend and we could barely walk around the room together. It was clean though, and the staff was friendly enough. No breakfast available but they offered a food delivery service to your room.

Excellent Value and Location

Overall Great Experience. The full hotel wasn't actually open to the public apparently... So we were given a room around the corner. Can't fault the room itself, especially as it's literally two blocks from the tube, and right next door to a delicious cafe for breakfast. I felt safe as the room at a deadbolt and a lock, but the outside door to the street lock wasn't active... Which would have been better. Hopefully this can be activated soon. :) The customer service was ACE! Both people who worked there the two nights we stayed did an excellent job! Very personable, helpful and kind. Overall I would consider staying here again if I needed to be around there again for work. Great value.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The property itself is rather dated. The room was very dated and could have been cleaned better. There's barely enough room in the bathroom for a tooth brush. Not enough towel racks so the towels are left on the beds. Bathroom cabinet is very old with busted lights. There isn't a safe in the room and wasn't told that there's one in the reception either, so you will have to carry your passports and valuables wherever you go which is a big disadvantage. Carpets do have a smell and aren't vaccumed or cleaned, I did notice the same items on the floor day after day. No trash can in the room either. Overall, I would have preferred paying a little more and staying somewhere else. This is not the type of room that you can hang out in for the evening, just go to sleep and leave. There are shops and restaurants in the vicinity and walking distance to the tube and paddington station.

Room was in good location and a good price when we booked in comparison to other similar places. Other than one person the staff was friendly and helpful. The negatives were that elevator was broken so not great for luggage. Room was in basement with almost no sound proofing. Heard everything including snoring person next door through the wall lol. Was stated they had breakfast but did not. They have a breakfast room but looked to be used for storage and a staff area. I was given an odd look and a blunt answer of No when I asked if they did. Booked 3rd party however their direct website also states they have a restaurant. Lastly when I booked I had to pay 1/2 upfront. I put my info in and it showed my remaining balance. However upon check - in I was told to pay in full up front. I was confused and told them I had already paid in part. I was rudely told "no you didnt" I showed him the message and was rudely told thats on expedia if they took payment not us. I understand hotels are not a fan of 3rd party sites because of the issues that can arise. However that is not an excuse for poor customer service skills. Based on his reaction its likely not the first time this problem has come up so I understood the annoyance. But kindness costs nothing and as someone who appreared to be a manager he should know that.

Great location. I complained about 1 of the single beds sheets being stained, the lady assured me they were clean and 12 days later it was still there. Lucky it had 2 beds.
