Our room was clean, had teacups, a teapot, daily towel change, and housekeeping. The hotel is old, but the staff are friendly and helpful. It's in an up and coming neighbourhood. Lots of construction, but very close to St. Pacreas and King's Cross stations. Lovely walk to the British Museum and then Soho and the theatres. Value for money given we didn't come to London to stay in the rom!

I enjoyed that the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. they also offered free luggage storage on the day of our rival and day departure.

It was stated that breakfast was served between 7.30 and 9.30am. The dining room was closed with a notice taped to it stating that because of covid, breakfast was not being served for the safety of staff and guests! Quite happy for everyone to stay! Staff not wearing masks! If they are that concerned, they should not be open. They could have the dining room open, with cereal and bread/toast available for guests to help themselves

It was acceptable for the price point, but: there were corners around the bottom of the shower stall that had accumulated lint and mould (?); there was no air conditioner in the room, but only a small fan without much of a logical location to be positioned and plugged in; the single-pane window had no mosquito screen to keep out bugs of any kind if open, and blocked none of the construction or construction-worker noise when closed; checkout is a bit early at 11 a.m., and, during the entire morning, the hallways are chaos while the staff do the room turnover.
