Brambles of Inveraray

8/10 Good
"Parking was difficult and check in was made more difficult by a staff member who was not very forthcoming with information on the phone. The room was clean, but there was a pervasive smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Breakfast was okay, but my husband received black pudding rather than sausage and my breakfast sandwich included an item which I asked to have on the side. The coffee was good."

Anchor Hotel

8/10 Good
"Staff very helpful and able to deal with all questions. Good breakfast made to order and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Free parking is available all along the street; all local amenities are easily accessible on foot. The internal fabric of the hotel is rather tired and worn, and would benefit from some refurbishment; fixtures and fittings show some - largely cosmetic - wear and tear which might be better maintained. This would make it more aesthetically attractive."

Portavadie

8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay at Portavadie for 2 nights in one of the cottages. The setting is fantastic, the pools are well maintained and warm and the gym is well equipped for a good workout. The only criticism would be that the cottages are quite dated and could do with a bit of a facelift to compliment the price tag."
