"This was a nice rental for our family trip to Detroit. It had all the things we needed-full kitchen with dishes, laundry, bathrooms as well as central air (we stayed in June 2023). It’s a historic house, so it has a different feel than a modern house, but it had all the amenities that were needed. The automated messages were clear and concise, but the listing says we could request checking in early, and I called, and messaged and was ghosted. If we could not check in early, that was fine (as we obviously did not check in early) but a simple communication would have been nice."

"The house smelled of smoke but says no smoking in description and 3 places throughout the house, so we had to go out and buy incense and found a cigarette in the hallway closet. the neighbors were loud and the host was rude at checkout. We had to go out and buy tissue and ran out of dish soap there was only a quarter of the bottle left when we arrived. Overall everything else was as described."
