Great place to start your Cebu adventure
We had such a great time here and the staff was amazing. From greeting us at 2am with a big smile until the morning we checked out everything went smooth. We are looking forward to returning when we are waiting for our flights home.

Once on the property it was nice. Awesome pool. Rooms are okay. Shared bathrooms with no hot water and a tiny sink and mirror. Food was good and priced right. Located at end of long narrow sketchy road. Inconvenient location and not ideal for a vacation. Locals told us not to walk around at night.

Peaceful Secret Garden of Eden hidden in a City.
This place is amazing! I alway stay here when I arrive at Mactan airport after a 2 day journey because it is so close to the airport. Also when I leave the Philippines I send a night or 2 here so that I am not likely to miss my flight due to traffic.It is a compound surrounded by a high fence. Inside is everything you need. The gardens are beautiful. The owners and staff work hard to keep them immaculate. The trees and shrubs attract a variety of garden birds.Their is also a cage of canaries and tame white rabbits and frogs roam free. There are never any dogs within the compound.The pool is big enough and deep enough for a good swim and never busy.It also has a jacuzzi area and a waterfall. These are not always turned on but if asked, the owner is always happy to put them on. The rooms are typically fairly basic with everything you need, including a fridge and air-con. The restaurant is nice. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The food is always cooked from good quality ingredients, portions are big enough and reasonably priced. Outside of the compound, the area is typical Philippines city. The locals are friendly. the kids like go practice their English on passing foreigners like me. there are other resurants close by if you fancy a change of scenery. Also. a shopping mall in easy walking distance. Barbers shops, massage therapists, street food sellers and small retailers are also close by. After dark the area has a warm friendly vibe that is nice to experience.

This place is an oasis surrounded by chaos! The owner, his wife plus all staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. I would recommend this idyllic place to everyone!!!

quiet get away
This is off the beaten path. but close to stores and a mall. It is quiet and comfy. The food is reasonable and tastes great, tasted like homemade. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you want a quiet get away this is the place to go to.

Just one fatal flaw: lack of internet. OK, they technically have internet service, but if you read the fine print it's only available in the pool area, which means that you have to sweat while using it. You can sometimes get it to work in your room, but it's very slow and throws you off after a few minutes. But if you use your phone for internet rather than wifi, you'll like this place. It's convenient to the main shopping road, good AC, hot shower, decent water pressure.

This is a good price for what you get. The prooerty is nice and has a bar and restaurante. The pool is also nice. The beer is 55 pesos and rooms run about 1500 a night. I will stay again if ever in cebu.

Great wonderful folks running cozy cottages.
This was a little hard to find and down a narrow road but it was so peaceful and such a great bunch of folks working and running it. I was there with my two teenage children and it was just right for us on the night before we flew out of Cebu airport. Thank you, danke for the hospitality.

Disappointing stay
Maybe it was the rain that made my impression less favourable than the reviews I read but I was disappointed in my stay. The aircon in the room didn't work well so was bathed in sweat all night and there was only cold water in the bathroom. It was cooler outside on the veranda. The internet only worked in the restaurant. The food there was very good but expensive by Filippino standards. The long lane into the place was muddy and full of water and I wouldn't have felt safe walking there alone at night. The grounds and swimming pool looked lovely.

A bit out of the way but value for money
This stay was for personal business, and I was flying from the general Aviation hangars which are nearby. The Cottages are a bit old but the staff more than made up for it. Food was good, and the overall stay was positive.

Hidden Gem
200 metres from the main road Lapu Lapu Cottages is a hidden jewel of a hotel. Built by hand by the owner over the past 30 years the complex comprises 12 individual cottages, a bar and restaurant and a small but deep swimming pool. Simple home cooked food cheap and tasty. Lapu Lapu Cottages does not offer western standards of service it is more akin to staying with a family. Don't expect a chocolate on your pillow every morning.

The room has a bed. Not too comfortable. Has a good working air con and good size fridge. The cottages are basically self contain. At 46 dollars au a night I would have liked a free breakfast or at minimum free coffee in room or complimentary water. The pool looks nice and deep. Some new deck chairs would be nice. Cute bunny rabbits occupy the lawns and gardens. Showers in room are cold. I enjoyed my stayed as we completed days trips away each day.

Really comfortable.
First of all, the staff and location are excellent. It's like a little hidden paradise tucked back at the end of the road. It's really peaceful and quiet and just a really good place to relax. It's got a nice little pool and the rooms are pretty spacious. The food is excellent, we ate there 90% of the time. The property is also really conveniently located next to a mall, grocery stores, 711, pizza and massage parlors. We stayed here twice during our trip and it was our favorite location. The place has a lot of character and cute little bunnies lounging around everywhere. They can also help you arrange any local tour for a better price than most of the agencies, so just wait till you arrive to book anything.

Little oasis with fantastic restaurant and owner
We stayed here only for one night before our flight to El Nido. It was a bit hard to find, but it is a little quiet oasis with fantastic pool, big garden with cute rabbits and restaurant with amazing Filipino and German food. We had the best German Beef Roulade outside Germany. Our room was good size, basic, but had AC, a fridge and comfy bed. Accommodation is 15-20 min drive to airport. Volker our host, was very nice and helpful, organised taxis and gave us a lot of useful information for our trip.

Did not like it. Bad neighborhood. The place also is not in a very good shape. Rooms are dated. This is the only hotel where i stayed that does not provide shampoo. They just give a small bar of soap. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. WiFi only near pool and in the restaurant, which is not air conditioned. It was the worst place I ever stayed.
