"We have been in New Zealand for nearly five weeks and have stayed in a dozen or more hotels or motels. The Oxford Motel was definitely the nicest so far. It was beautifully clean, updated, and maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was quiet and attractive."

"The Bealey is a great hotel. We had a spacious villa with an amazing view. The staff were all very nice. Food options adequate - nothing fancy. Good location near many walking tracks. Glad we stayed there. "

"The location, cabin and scenery The cabin was beautiful inside, new furniture and design, super comfortable and just comfortable! Didn’t expect much being middle of nowhere but it exceeded all expectations.The CASS was a beautiful location halfway on the Arthurs pass, highly recommend!!!Met the owner of the property, 38 years there! Lovely man and met the chickens and sheep!"

"Great food and drinks and a beautiful setting in the mountains. The room was clean and all we needed for a unique stay in the mountains away from everything. The hosts were lovely and our boys loved the mountain biking experience and being able to hire from the lodge. Thank you Porters Lodge for being so accomodating! "
