"Highly recommend, it was better than I had imagined. We arrived later than planned and Janette had the fire on for when we arrived. Amazing communication from Janette the whole time we were there. Would certainly be booking again."

"It's lovely basic bach and comes with a functional kitchen with stove tops and oven. It's near Arthur's Pass railway station and was not positively surprised with the amount of train traffic late at night and early morning, not ideal for light sleepers. Surroundings are stunning though especially with the fresh snow on the mountains. Walking distance to the village."

"We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right."
