A quite gateway in the mountain! Cass cottage 1 - Lake Pearson, Authur's Pass

  • Cass has just one resident: Barrie Drummond, a railway worker who moved here around age 40 and spent over 25 years subsequently as an employee of KiwiRail, performing switching and track maintenance, Cass is thus one of the few places in the world with a population of one resident.

    Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Located in the serene Cass settlement caravan park amongst the majestic Alps. This newly built cottage has everything you need to self cater and have a good nights rest.
    Surrounded by hiking trails and lake walks there is plenty to do in the area.
    Complimentary Chip and Putt golf course also available. The perfect place to take a break & enjoy nature so no WiFi available, kitchen is included with cooking, fridge, hot plate and tableware

    - 10 mins to Lake Pearson, Bealey Hotel
    - 20 mins to Authur's Pass National Park, Castle Hill
