"This property was a perfect home base for our family's trip to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Communication prior to arrival could have been better. I messaged the property owner via the VRBO app the day before check-in and then texted the morning of our arrival because I hadn't received any check-in instructions. Onsite property manager Reed was friendly and welcoming and quick to share helpful tips about the area."

I highly recommend this place - I will still hear next time we come through La Veta. The house has everything you need! Perfect for a man like me who loves chopping wood and having fires. The inside had a big kitchen for the wives. The rooms have tons of board games for the kids. You will love this place; I know we did."

"Everything was great. The cabin is in a great location, and you have access to a variety of parks, trails, etc. The cabin is clean and extremely well organized. We got hit by a mid-March snowstorm and got snowed in for a day, and Krista went out of her way to get us plowed out and provide information. Great overall experience and highly recommended!"

The ranch house, bunk house and tiny house were extremely clean and comfortable. The Kenneys have been good stewards of their land. Their love for the ranching way of life is evident in every detail. The Kenney’s exude the gift of hospitality!"

"The view from Getaway at the Dunes was breathtakingly beautiful! The Dunes with Mount Herard behind it and a vast field of evening primrose blooming in the foreground was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed making meals, watching (casting was easy) TV together and we slept very well. Google Maps worked for us and the gate entrance was simple."

The morning we left it snowed 8-10 inches & there wasn’t any electricity. The housekeeper was quick to get in touch with us to offer assistance. That was much appreciated but we didn’t need it."
