"The grounds and hotel were stunningly beautiful with direct view of Arenal! Very relaxing environment. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious with local fruits and juices as well as many both sweet and savory options. Room was deluxe and bed super comfortable."

Booked a guided tour including Arenal Volcano hike, La Fortuna Waterfall and Mistico hanging bridges with lunch included. Our guide, Andres, was very knowledgeable, spotted toucans, sloths, monkeys, for us and even helped us with pictures.

Amazing location to see the volcano, hike, ATV, zipline and white water raft. Downtown is more rustic but several good restaurants. Ubers very affordable. Not really walkable as sidewalks are hit or miss. I wouldn't drive here.

La Fortuna offered so many options to explore. We visited Arenal 1968 since the National Park line was so long. It was an excellent option and had an amazing observatory near the exit of the trail with a bar and fun rope beds.

The La Fortuna waterfall is a must see. Keep in mind that it is 510 steps to go down to the base and 510 steps to come back up. It was worth it.! We recommend the rafting tour and the Volcano hike For the wildlife viewing.

We were there five days and we did the waterfall, hanging bridges, zip lining, coffee, and chocolate tour, and the hike to the volcano, and Baldy Springs. It was a go-go vacation that was absolutely wonderful.

I spent a FORTUNA (fortune) at Fortuna. Besides it being ridiculously expensive it was a great place to be surrounded by nature and all sorts of activities to do. Highly recommend the rafting!

Tons of things to do. A lot of variety of activities. Many family oriented activities and also grown up activities. Many outdoor activities to do. A lot of restaurants with a variety of foods. Lots of grocery stores if you want to buy food to prepar.

We didn't get to see much of the volcano due to clouds, but the waterfall and orchid tours were gorgeous. Local horseback riding tour along the river with views of local wildlife was allso enjoyable.
"The property was beautiful- very lush and well kept. Our patio had a view of the volcano which was amazing. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was wierd though in its layout- did not like the open shower. Liked being able to park near our front door and having no stairs or elevators. Excellent service though in all places. We like our four night stay here."
"Beautiful property, drinks from the bar amazing, pools were clean and gorgeous views. We enjoyed the privacy of the room and our jacuzzi bath on our patio. Rooms were very clean, food at the restaurants were reasonably priced and great quality. Breakfast is buffet style and they change up the main dishes. "

"Ronaldo explained the maintenance process for the thermal pools, including their daily emptying, cleaning, and refilling, as well as the water source and overall upkeep of the hotel. Ronaldo and Jackie were fantastic, and everyone at the hotel was exceptionally kind."
