Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Thunder Bay
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was packed with a lot of people who had been evacuated because of the wild fires. Everyone seemed to be doing their absolute best in dealing with a difficult situation. Staff was outstanding and really rose to the occasion. Room was recently renovated and very comfortable. Overall the hotel is fine, but I found the staff exceptionally courteous and kind. "
Best Western Plus Nor'wester Hotel & Conference Centre
10/10 Excellent
"The view of the surrounding tabletop mountains is a wonderful backdrop while you take in a meal on the raised deck. The options for breakfast surpass any morning fare given by most hotels. The staff is friendly. The pool facilities are well maintained. There is ample parking. We visited Kakabeka Falls, Fort William, and Chippewa Beach. There were two weddings, one taking place on the grounds with the mountains looking down. Do not stay in town. Stay at the Nor’wester!"
"The staff were really nice and friendly. Our room on the other hand was not as clean as it should be. We had to have the tub and vanity cleaned after we checked in. I have allergies and when we turned on the air conditioner the smell from the dirt inside caused a reaction. For 250.00 a night I would think The Ramada would do a better job. "
