A good reset on a long drive east. By the time we got to Thunder Bay, we'd been on the road from BC for days with our cat Laika. The room was clean, and we left the next morning rested for the trip around Lake Superior. We'd recommend it to anyone crossing the country by car.

Great place to stay, centrally located to good shopping. Staff very friendly. The only thing I had a problem with was with the door to my room, you just had to make sure it latched. Otherwise no issues.

The rooms were fresh and newly remodeled. The breakfast was plentiful but no hot food choices. They really need an elevator. Getting luggage upstairs was difficult. The staff was very pleasant and easy to understand.

Room was clean and comfortable. Stayed 1 night with our dog. There is a small green space in front of the hotel and there is a dog park a 3 minute drive away. Would have liked a small freezer section in the mini fridge in our room. Toilet was in a small space in the bathroom which is very tight for a tall/large person.

The building was old and the finishes tired. The bathroom was small and had a very odd layout. One of the main lamps didn’t work. The shampoo container was empty. The only way to get free WiFi was to join the rewards program otherwise you had to pay. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. The room was overpriced and I wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff at the Ho Jo are always outstanding, friendly and so accommodating! However, the cost is significantly higher since our previous stay, and I’m wondering if this isn’t influenced by the people displaced from their communities and the wild fires in Canada. It appears all hotels and motels prices have rose substantially.
