Smell on the room was bad. Damaged walls all along the hallway. Obvious water damage in the ceiling that had shoddy workmanship to repair. Restaurant attached was permanently. Very pricey for what you got.

Budget hotel with budget expectations, beds were firm pillows were bad. Breakfast was awful, location is good parking is easy and the staff are super helpful. Not a great stay not a bad stay just what you expected for the price and works for 1 night if you are passing through.

Was on the third floor with a broken elevator, the hallway and stairwell stunk so bad of cigarettes it’s like people still smoke in it. Room was decently clean, and at least that didn’t smell of cigarettes.

The front desk people were nice and helpful. The breakfast had a nice variety of food. You could hear people above you stomping around. You had to ask for ice because there was no ice machine accessible. The pool was cold. Rooms need upgrading and new decor.

The company needs to spend money to upgrade the property. Location was good, staff was friendly, but the building is falling apart. AC did not work in the first room, so we got another room. Bathroom light switch plate was broken, ceiling light flickered, bathroom window did not close. Curtains need to be replaced.

The rooms, pool and breakfast room were all clean. Front reception coffee station's garbage was overflowing for both days we were there..arrival and departure. No cups, cream or tea bags either. Room had those but no cups. Had to have staff get ice, he wouldn't get cream for coffee station..told me to wait 30 minutes for breakfast to start at 7. 7 AM breakfast start is too late. Same staff member also checked us in..didn't tell me about breakfast times but shared he was tired as he was working a double shift.

The beds were good & linens clean. No bedbugs. However, the toilet leaked & there was a large tear in the curtain. The elevator was broken so the staff on check-in told us that there was no elevator. Made it difficult for me with arthritis to climb up the stairs so I was not able to join my grandsons at the pool! Was not able to carry on my belongings!! Apparently the pool was good, clean & well taken care of. The breakfast was very good! Sketchy characters watching us continually so made if difficult to relax & sleep! Property was old & not kept up.

Stayed in room 102. Shower need serious attention. The grout was discoloured and black around the tub line, the water pooled around your ankles before you were finished showering, there was barely any body wash in the container, the screen on the window has holes in it, the light fixture only had one light working, the toilet wabbled when you sat on it and the seat moves. The wall behind where the towels are hung has crumbling paint. There is no fan in the bathroom. The room it self was ok, however the bed need attention. They really need new box springs and not just have cover ups on them so that you dont really know how bad they are dirty. The breakfast was all to be desired. Very limited. Coffee was good however. The cost of staying there does not justify itself. The parking lot entrance has a huge pot hole. So would I stay or refer someone to stay at this property, absolutely not.

The staff are good and polite , but the property is poor maintenance, the carpet in the room is dirt and sticky like it never been vacuumed , the bed are bad , uneven surfaces,the window is cracked, the toilet is really old 🙂‍↕️, I understand if the property is old but it needs good maintenance. I won’t recommend this property to my friends or who ever needs to stay in Thunder Bay.

We arrived during a poor air quality day where we decided to hotel instead of camp due to the smoke in the area caused by fires. Prices over the entire city were crazy, not just this hotel. We chose this hotel because it was under 250$ per night and included a pool and breakfast. Breakfast was basic but fine however it felt pretty uncomfortable (tiny space and it felt like you were being monitored by staff). This could just be a part of the culture in the area, we are from a very laid back place. Our biggest disappointment was that the pool which had been advertised on the sign outside the hotel and pn expedia was closed. Being that the air was so bad outside we were looking forward to having our kids burn some energy in the pool. The room air was unable to be controlled in the room, it could only be unplugged and seemed to be pulling in air from outside as well which normally would be fine however due to the heavy smoke outside it wasn't helpful.
