Holiday Inn Express Waikiki by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Waikiki by IHG

8/10 Good
"We stayed here for our honeymoon and honestly had a great experience! We booked the hotel as part of a flight and stay package, so it ended up being a really good value for us. The location was convenient, about a 10–15 minute walk to Waikiki Beach, and we liked being able to walk around and explore the area. The hotel had a lot of nice amenities too, including a pool, jet spa, gym, laundry facilities, and a business center with printing available. We also really appreciated the complimentary breakfast buffet that came with our stay. It was nice to grab breakfast before heading out for a full day of exploring. Our room was clean and a good size for the two of us. We were honestly out most of the day since we were in Hawaii to explore, but it was always nice coming back to a clean room and fresh towels. One thing to keep in mind is that hotel parking comes with an additional nightly fee. We ended up finding parking on the neighboring streets instead, which was a good option if you’re looking to save a little. Just keep in mind that street parking availability can vary. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! It had everything we needed, the location was convenient, and the complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus. For a honeymoon trip where we were mostly out exploring all day, it was a comfortable and convenient place to come back to. We’d happily stay here again!"

"The elevator is horrible. They need to let people go to the driver floor. They’re going to. It’s a mess. The system is not good and people rig it. They get on and off the elevator. It’s a mess. There’s large crowds and a lot of traffic and it’s very dangerous during emergency situation. It will be worse. They need to fix the exits and entrances. It’s hazardous."

"Incredible views, Beach Candy is super convenient, can’t beat the location. The elevator situation is not ideal, especially when on a higher floor, but overall we love the Twin Fin."

"Staff was very helpful and accommodating very friendly. Great location but wouldn’t stay here again. We encountered 2 roaches . One on our floor outside of elevator and one in our bathroom. Although they do have a warning sign in our room it would be great to know beforehand. We’ve stayed at the hotel next door last vacation and they didn’t have any of these sightings."
