Come and relax at our beach Bach. A quick walk to the beach and local park. Awesome views of the beach and close to town. Fully fenced back garden. Fantastic lawn for the kids to play on and a deck to relax on. Kayaks available to use. Great fishing off the beach and filleting bench onsite. Easy space for entertaining with family and friends. Kid friendly with toys/books/LEGO. Any questions please ask. Free WiFi available.
Kick back and relax at our stunning beach house. Amazing views of our west coast beach and plenty of space to chill out. Close to park and beach. 15 minutes from town.
Set up for fishing and for kids. Please note we have amazing views of Kai Iwi beach and it is a short walk down the hill to the beach.
No parties please. Please let us know a little bit about your stay.
Under kiwi beach tradition we ask that you leave the beach house as you found it and follow our house rules and Covid procedures. Linen is available for $10 per person to a maximum of $50. Thanks

A wonderful return visit
After loving our family stay here a few years ago, I wanted to return for a winter retreat with friends. We had a great time with the fire going, and stunning views as we relaxed and read our books. It was perfect. A lovely clean, welcoming and relaxing space. Highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Helen for being an amazing host!

Fascinating location, nice house
This comfortable family style cottage sits across the street from a huge cliff leading down to the sea. It's a really interesting geology and makes for gorgeous sunsets. The house is well equipped and large enough for a family. Helen was a really friendly host, picking us up on the beach and taking us to visit her friends who were fishing on the shore. We'd happily stay again!

Great location and views - a short walk down to the beach, a big section and great wood fire, gas hot water, bedding for 8, close to good fish and chips at the Motor Camp and ideal for our family from Australia, Christchurch and Auckland to stay together to attend a family reunion close to Kai Iwi over the weekend

Perfect beach escape
Beautiful view over Kai iwi beach. Big house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Was a fantastic experience for our family to stay whilst reconnecting with whanganui. Has everything you need and great communication from owner. Just remember Kai iwi doesn’t really have any shops (other than small fish and chips etc) but is only a 15min drive away yet it feels a million miles away from Whanganui as it is so beautiful and quiet.

Wedding Weekend in Kai Iwi
Enjoyed our stay. The beach house is a really nice and spacious, warm home with large rooms and a great view of the sea. We had a really busy weekend so we didn’t get a chance to spend much time there but when we did it was lovely. Helen is amazing and provided us with all the information we needed to know ahead of our stay. My daughter left some of her clothes behind and Helen offered to post them back to us.

Stunning spot
This was the second time we’ve stayed at Helen’s place as it’s just so fantastic. The place has a fantastic location, amazing views, all day sun and all the amenities you need. The kids love it and it ticks all the boxes for us adults too. Helen is a fantastic host! Two mins walk to the beach and the park and a huge front lawn for the kids to play on. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

Girls weekend
We had great beach walks, wine in the sun, cosy wood burner when the sun went down. Clean with full facilities, lovely indoor and outdoor areas for socialising. Wish i could have stayed longer.

Comfortable, thoughtfully provisioned home with a picture window view to the incredible Kai-Iwi beach of which we were treated to a marvelous thunder and lightening display over the bay. Easy comms and a relaxed approach makes it more like visiting a familiar space rather than a stay constrained by too many rules. Highly recommend.

Nice comfortable home with a good amount of space for everyone. It’s in a beautiful spot so close to the sea offering gorgeous sunsets every night. Kitchen could do with an upgrade. Oven doesn’t close so couldn’t use it. Back door hard to lock. But on the whole this was a lovely place to stay.
