"We stayed at this location myself , my daughter, my best friend and her daughter and her husband. We all fit nicely in the home. The property was great. Very clean. Check in was easy and they communicated via text which made it SO easy. Everything was as expected and listed. We would absolutely stay here again when we return. The text about local places, hikes and stores etc was So helpful and such a nice touch they add to this experience. We took morning walks around the area with the kids and they loved it. Had a fire in the evenings and did smores. There is a charcoal grill in the property. I didn’t see that in the listing but it was there when we arrived, just needed charcoal! We spent two days in Acadia and hit some seal watching at Bar Harbor Whale Watch company. The only thing I would add is that during the time we went August 7-10, the majority of the time we were at the cabin (morning and evening) the tide was so low that the view right in front of the cabin was just mud but this is just the nature of tides and seasons! Not something we felt was negative by any means as the other side of the road there was beautiful views and water. Can’t recommend this place enough! "

" Beware - read the details of places carefully before booking. let me start by saying I take partial responsibility for this nightmare by not reading the description more carefully. I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It was hard to find the place and we drive buy it at first because it looked like a homeless camp with an old beat up camper out front and an outhouse. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and when I reached out to host for even a partial refund, she said I should have read the description better, that it was all explained in the description and dozens of positive reviews proved that people Love you the “Off-grid” rustic camping motif, and I should have brought my own bug spray repellent, so it was my fault. Okay lesson learned. "
