"The lower price of the rooms in this hotel reflect that it is just a bit run down in places small things like new shower rails and curtains would be easy fixes also cleaning up the hundreds of cigarette butts from the floor which were visible from our balcony and appeared to be from the two rooms below just distracted from what is a lovely area. The room was warm. the shower powerful and we slept really well which is key to any stay. There was no food at the hotel when we were there which isn't a big issue and they messaged us prior to the stay but the bar looked open although we didn't use it. We took our dog and appreciate the quoted £20 per accomodation per stay fee detailed on here but were told on checking in it is actually £20 per night! Reliant on the accomodation we paid but having completed the stay we struggle to see why it was per night when there is no daily room service other than a knock on the door to see if we needed anything. Aside from that the hotel is in a perfect location for dog walks up or around the Wrekin or over the Ercall and down into Wellington. "

"Not the greatest place I have stayed in, had a room that faced onto the main road and barely had any sleep both nights.... rooms are very dated and in need of an urgent upgrade. I left the door hanger on asking for room to be serviced but on my return I found that the cleaner had just folded up wet and dirty towels and put them back on the radiator. There are no facilities to get food here at the hotel and the bar was not open at any time during our visit. Not faciliated for people with mobility issues either. "
