In summer, the auditorium’s rear wall opens up and you can see music performances in the sunshine or under the stars. Visit the park on a Sunday morning to watch a free local act at Praça de Paz, an open-air venue. Borrow a book in English or Portuguese from the Bosque de Leitura, an outdoor library, and relax in the shade while you read. Return your book at the end of the day.
Ibirapuera Park is situated to the west of São Paulo’s central business district. Reach the park with the city’s bus or metro system or walk from many central destinations. Metered car parking is available on the streets adjacent to the park. The park is open daily and entry is free.
