"Impressive and pleasant property. Large comfortable room and very comfortable bed. Extremely limited casual dining menu and mediocre results. The fine dining menu was more interesting and produced better results. Decent wine list. The bar staff had a difficult time taking orders and producing drinks. Allow a lot of time and patience for this activity. The television control was absolutely inscrutable, and the directions provided in the room manual were not correct. The telephone in the room was non-functional which is unacceptable in an establishment of this type. Yes, I would return."

"Good value choice if you're staying a few days within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the city centre/main station. The accommodation is spacious but showing signs of its age. I had a room with double and single bed with ensuite bath/shower room. Plenty of hot water. Basic tea making facilities, no fridge. Breakfast is in a bag collected from the reception every morning, basic but sufficient. The staff on reception were great, welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again when I'm back in Newcastle."

Ideal location, limited hotel parking spaces however council car park also directly behind the hotel which is free after either 5 or 6pm. Perfect location for where I was working but also perfect if visiting the Metro Centre. Can’t fault the room or price. Will continue to stay whilst working in the area."
