"We loved our stay at the blacksmiths Arms they were so friendly. Everything was perfect for us. One of the best hotels without atmosphere that we have stayed in."

Only slight negatives were the shower and wash basin were tiny (- it would be really helpful to have shelves in the en-suite) and the shower drain is beginning to show its age. All a bit dated. Bed was very comfortable. But Alfa’s was good too. Really like the coffee! Thank you, Emma."

"A hidden Gem! Super friendly staff, room was spotless and very spacious, initially we thought we may be disturbed by the busy pub but were pleasntly surprised how quiet it was, definitely adding this one to my favourites!"

"No where to check in or out . No one on the premises. Did find someone who didnt speak english. Had to wait for the owner to arrive. . Rooms dirty. decor nice but not done to nice standard. No one on site over night and no contact number given ICE. No one on site in the morning to check out and nowhere to leave key. just left in room . sash Windows in room do not stay open had to use a cup to hold it up. no fan or aircon. TV had splashes all over screen. Bathroom dirty. Glasses had dirty rim...

"All was good with our stay however we only had one towel and one cup/ hospitality items- we raised this as we left and were told they didn’t know 2 people were staying although said : on Booking Also we were surprised to be charged £10 for onsite parking just for one night it seemed excessive "

"Countryside enfolded the TJS and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Our room was clean and fresh. Everything you needed had been thought of, big walk-in shower. fluffy robes, small fridge with water and milk for your tea. We only had breakfast but was freshly cooked and lasted us all day. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. TJS gets our thumbs up. "

"What can we say.. such a beautiful and magical place.so clean and tidy. Our room was big. King bed single bed double sofa bed and a fold away single. Table and chairs. Fridge, microwave tea coffee and more. You have everything you need for a lovely comfortable stay. Secluded with a beautiful garden to explore. Children will be happy with a big trampoline swing ball table tennis and football. Breakfast was perfect and very yummy 😋 easy to find and a really good location for Gatwick Airport. If...

Beautiful grounds and the interior is beautifully designed as well. Loved the Roger Dean exhibition upstairs and the free guided tour! "I think the lower than average price makes it value for money. Parking space not always available, council carpark across the road £5 a day. Kitchen worktops needed replacing as burn marks & laminate peels. Good large tv in lounge & bedroom. "

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
