"Other reviews had some negative remarks about it being noisy, old and such, therefore I had some reservations prior to our arrival, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is an older building and with this comes thin walls, outdated fixtures and other bits but overall it was a comfortable stay. The building had a wonderful charm and had a pub on one side that became lively in the evening and yes, cause some noise but being from the city, nothing that would cause me not to be able...

"Excellent service. They went beyond the call of duty when I asked for ice for an event my daughter was helping organise at the cinema just 100 yards or so away. The answer was would a bin liner full be enough! Fantastic food and A class breakfast. Only downside is no black pudding!"

The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. "Terrific 500 year heritage property worth seeing as a past local coaching inn. Owner and staff are as friendly as can be and very helpful, the food was excellent, modest room size. You are well taken care of and the village is one of a kind in the region, easy bus transport to Worthing and Brighton. I recommend the Village House and will stay again."

"I think the lower than average price makes it value for money. Parking space not always available, council carpark across the road £5 a day. Kitchen worktops needed replacing as burn marks & laminate peels. Good large tv in lounge & bedroom. "

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
