Overall is a clean, good hotel and location. Need to replace the carpet on the hallway, it looks old and needs to be deep-clean. It does not provide small wash towels and the soap is very small, no bath gel either.

It was safe to stay, the breakfasts were good , the the hotel staffs were friendly, good location, easy to call a taxi.there are lot of good food restaurants in that neighborhood area.

The location was ok, everything was expensive around the area, the hotel is out dated, small room and smell from the old carpet, the hallway was dark and carpet was old and damaged, breakfast was cold and not much selection, don't stay there, go to district 1 better

dirty needs complete clean up
Cockroachs in the room and bathroom. Gone off old food with green mould in the cakes and pastery..and saw cockroaches in the French bread...told the manager in the breakfast room.

This is a very old hotel since 35 years ago when I was in Saigon. The facilities is old but clean and comfortable. Stuffs is friendly helpful.

The bath room is old(old floor tiles, counter top, toilet bowl) and with bad smell when the AC was off. Very old style Bathtub, tall and narrow, hard to get in for the women. Wall tiles have molded on the gaps, room towels are old and worn out, shower tube is leaking too. The hotel location is great for Chinese if they interested to hang around the China town.

A place to stay in district 5
Hotel situated at a busy area, next to a hospital, high volume traffic and congested. Hotel staffs were friendly, room was cleaned everyday,somehow hot water wasn't enough in the afternoon but back to normal in the evening overall, the building was old but maintenance is ok. Not much choices on breakfast , maybe this is where the hotel should improve

Hotel is located in old China town.
The hair dryer is out of date. After being used for less than two minutes, the handle turned hot. I had to turn off and waited for five minutes to keep on using it. it took me two times to call for the supply which they missed to provide me, such as tooth brush and soap.

Great hotel stay, very nice for a 3 star.
I stayed for 8 nights on floor 3, Air conditioning worked great. Tv was modern and new, staff were good at english. I enjoyed my stay.

Good value. Rooms are big and comfy. Good AC, soft beds. staff are nice and accommodating. Free wifi but connection is average. Located in the Chinatown area with lots of food stalls within 10 min walks. Bus stop right outside that travels between Ben thanh and binh Tay markets. 2nd stay here and will come back!!

My stay
The difficulty here is that I had just come from a beautiful place in Danang so I had quite high expectations. Annoyingly, when typed into Google maps, the address on the site and on hotels.com sends you to the wrong part of the city. A shame because I booked the hotel based upon its location. In fact, the hotel is a good 15 minute taxi ride from the centre. I would say the photos on hotels.com tell a very different story from the reality. The rooms are clean and we'll kept but a little drab. Service was good but not excellent. Again, having stayed in the Golden Lotus in Hanoi where the staff were amazing, I felt a little let down here. For example, on arrival at the airport, the airport pick up service was no where to be seen despite organising beforehand. When I got to the hotel hot and flustered, the staff seemed very disinterested in my story. Very average at best.

You get what you pay for. I guess in used to the 2.5 -3 star quality in the states. Rule of thumb is to go to 5 stars for foreign countries for 4 star quality.

We checked in late and was very tired after a long day the reception did not even know we already booked and paid for the room , we felt frustrated and very unwelcome, we had the room with window but has 2 single beds with the bathroom too old and sewerage has very strong smell from the bathtub, the bathtub is old and too high to step out, the vanity moulded, tv is old but ok to use, wifi is good, the reception area looks very stylish and new but the bedroom is too old, corridor lead to the bedroom is dark, a bit scrary to walk to the room, would not recommend to anyone.

cant check in coz hotel rules say check in time is 2 pm. room looks ols n shabby. hotel close to hospital n funeral parlours. the location in busy, noisy n crowded area. but there is a cinema nearby. i dont feel comfortable staying in this area.

The only bad thing of this hotel keeps lower the hot water temperature to save energy, but once you call the front desk they will put it back to normal very quick.

We booked a room with a double and a single bed for a family with two young children. The room was spacious and comfortable, the aircon was good. However, the hotel supplies was very ungenerous comparing to other hotels we have stayed. For example, there were only 2 bath towels and hand towels prepared for the three people room. the "mini bar" has two bottles of spring water and a kettle, no coffee or tea whatsoever. Although the room is non smoking, but there is the smoking smell lingering around in the corridor and sometimes in the room too.

A great location
The hotel was in a great location. Within walking distance of many pagoda's, the market, and places to eat. This hotel is on a bus route that takes you to District 1 where many of the tourist sites are located. The staff is very helpful at arranging tours, helping you find places to eat, providing direction to many sites, arranging cabs and making sure you get across the street safely. We were at this hotel for Tet/Chinese New Year. The staff through a party for the guests which made the stay very memorable. The hotel rooms are slightly outdated. The carpeting in the rooms should be changed. The bathrooms have both a tub and shower however for anyone with mobility issues, the tub is not easy to get in and out of as there is quite the step. We travelled to the Mekong Delta from here as well as to Da Lat. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

5 Day Stay at Dong Khanh
Couple key things about this hotel: it is in a great location and friends and family who live in Ho Chi Minh City all know of Dong Khanh, so it was easy for them to get in contact with us during our visit. The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing given it was part of the cost of the room. Overall, great stay, not many issues. Internet is provided but slight spotty at times--that would be my only complaint.
