"Common areas were attractive. Our room was small and basically windowless. Staff was nice. Bathroom was so small you had to zigzag to reach the sink. I think a large person would struggle to navigate it. Bed comfy but pillows really small. Great amenities - convenient store, laundry, drinks, games, white noise machine, recreational gear to borrow. Location was nice, right across from the bay. I think the room in the relaxation wing was just a bummer. And I suspect the pool wing is bad too because of noise and the ocean wing looks down on a parking lot as far as I could tell. Try to get a room in the pond wing - I think you’ll have a balcony there or at least a window. Those rooms are probably nice. The place has a bit of a hostel feel. Their heart is really in the right place with their philosophy and their commitment to sharing their profits with good causes. But I partly picked them because they were listed somewhere as one of top ten hotels in the state and I’m sort of surprised they made the list considering the room we stayed in. Also they say you can tell them if you think it was poor value and pay what you think your room is worth but I would absolutely not feel comfortable doing that."

"The property was ideally located for my purposes, visiting relatives and friends. The one bedroom, one bath room was clean and had all the amenities to make one’s stay very comfortable: air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, oven, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, etc.The view from the 7th floor unit was appealing. One could gaze at the lagoon view for a long time.At first I was concerned about the parking space for the unit. I am uncomfortable with unground parking spaces. The parking space is ideally located which made me very happy.All in all I was very happy with stay at this unit."

"My family (4 adults and 1 child) found this 2-bedroom unit very comfortable with a king bed and two double beds in the second bedroom to accommodate the young child with her parents. There was even a queen size sofa in the living room if we needed it too! The unit was clean, recently renovated with new appliances, and had all the needed amenities—even hair spray! There were eating establishments close enough for a nice walk. We would reconsider this Hilo condo should we visit Hilo in the future."
