"A heritage building full of character with a SUPER convenient location! While you definitely visually see its age in the hallways and rooms, all is maintained well and clean. ALL of the hotel staff (front desk, manager, valets, maintenance, housekeeping) that I met during my stay, from mid-day to late evening (I’m not a morning person) were SUPER helpful, kind and empathetic. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance during my stay (April 23-29/26, Room 430). It truly felt like a home away from home with the staff the community. My stay was unusual (cleared out a local locker, locker contents was delivered to my room) and they were all accommodating with this challenge of mine. A couple of minor issues: TV needed maintenance to fix it twice, coffee maker was defective, housekeeping switched it out, hotel cards were very sensitive to credit cards/cellphone, so I needed replacements several times I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Santa Monica. It will be my only choice when I come back. Thanks again to Elina, Diana, Francisco, Roderick (?) and all the staff! I wish I remembered everyone’s names."
