"Conveniently situated only 5 minutes drive from my first appointment of the following day, I got checked in with a warm reception from the staff. I have stayed there twice before so had an idea of what to expect. I had one of the external ground floor rooms which made it easier to go back and forth to the car park. Having dines there previously, I did so again and was well looked after with some sumptious food provided for a very reasonable cost. The room itself was spacious, clean and provided everything I needed. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty which was the only drawback. The surrounding area allowed for an hour long walk with lovely scenery. The shower was very powerful and the bed comfy for a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with some locally sourced ingredients to get the day started off right. Can't wait to be back here again."

"For the price this place is excellent. You are paying the price of a hostel but you have your own room, a decent bathroom and tea making facilities. The hotel has seen better days, and if you want something swanky pay another £100 per night. Staff were helpful, room was clean, and location is spot on. "

"I have not stayed here for years and was surprised to see that its still a Brend Hotel ( family hotel). I went for breakfast and it was a traditional waiter service breakfast eg you are shown to a table, another waiter takes your order, you choose the items you want and its freshly cooked ( no food sitting under a heated light)"
