"We stayed one night in a room with a single queen bed. Our room was clean and had a mini split type AC. We were quite surprised how nice the property was considering we only paid $65 which included breakfast. Hilda checked us in and gave us a gate opener for use to park. Our room was small and had an opaque window but we had access to a very comfortable large open lounge area and pool with lounge chairs. We would have paid more for the bigger rooms but this was the only one available. They also have domes on this site for “glamping”. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach but we drove. Would highly recommend. "

"The views were spectacular, and it was an amazing way to celebrate two birthdays! I loved how accessible all the nearby adventures were, and the staff went above and beyond — they were so friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the beds; they weren’t very comfortable, which made it hard to recover after such active days. I woke up feeling stiffer than I went to bed, but overall, the experience and location make it worth visiting!"

"We just returned from 8 nights at Villa Allamanda from June 4 - June 12, 2025. The house is as beautiful in person as the gorgeous pictures online. The view is spectacular, and we got up at sunrise every morning to watch for wildlife and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and made us feel like we had our own private resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed so we could cook breakfast each morning and the occasional lunch or dinner. Playa Ocotal was the closest beach at only a 5 minute drive down the hill and very easy to get to from the house. The sand is mostly black with some tan mixed in, and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We snorkeled most days by the rocks on both sides of the beach and saw a huge variety of colorful fish, so bring your gear if you like to snorkel. There are foldable lawn chairs (not reclining), a cooler and a few sand toys at the house. There are 2 blue foam pool floats that you can lay on in the pool but no noodles or inflatable tubes, so you might consider bringing some or buying them nearby in Coco. There are plenty of every type of towel. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and a hair dryer. Showers are hot with great water pressure. A few of the beds are very firm. The road to the house is very steep, curvy, & narrow, so small 4WD SUV is best to rent. Lissa with Zindis was wonderful and so helpful. Ready to return! Pura Vida! "
