"The food needs a major upgrade. Flavors, options, more of a variety is needed. & needs more local food options. WiFi service was the worst. Staff was amazing & resort was super super clean & ambiance is beautiful. Resort is beautiful. Definitely recommend staying if they get the food upgraded."

"View was breathtaking. Room was clean. Breakfast was made fresh and to order. Pool was great.Short walk to beach. Mark (proprietor) and was there to greet us. He was very friendly and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend Pura Vista to all. I know we will definitely return!"

"This pretty little apartment with a lovely garden and dipping pool has a great beachfront location. We loved Playa Ocotal. It’s a quiet, smaller beach with black sand and blue water. I went snorkeling with our host one morning and my husband and I swam every day. The unit has everything you need and was clean, comfortable and tidy. The hosts are there if you need them but maintain your privacy. We enjoyed our chats with the hosts and the opportunity to learn more about Costa Rica through them. Sitting on the patio in the morning we would enjoy all the birds and even some howler monkeys romping in nearby trees! Such a pretty, quiet location. "

"This is a lovely property. Four adults stayed here for seven nights and really enjoyed the area. It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a home away from home. Pool is close by. Beach is close and clean. The area is quiet during the evenings. There are two restaurants close. Communication with Rich coast was easy, they responded and fixed any problems that were found quickly. "

"We loved our stay. Access to beach was effortless. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Management was very responsive!! In the pics and description it said there was a screened in porch. There wasn’t. Turns out that was fine. Also, there was no table big enough for 6 people nor were there chairs enough. We were just two so that was fine. But if you have a larger group be aware of that. Appliances very very nice!! Quiet and peaceful!!! Would definitely stay again!!"

"Loved hearing the waves and the easy walk to the beach. We rented a golf cart for the week and used private drivers for a few excursions. We felt safe and the property was in good condition. We enjoyed Playa Ocotal most of all the beaches we visited! We definitely got a work out in going to and from the beach day - be prepared for stairs! "

The whole family enjoyed all of the amenities of the house; especially the plunge pool to cool off after the hot sun on the beach.
