"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pure Paradise — This Place Has It All We've stayed at a lot of beach properties, but this one genuinely stands out. The ocean was crystal clear, completely calm, and so inviting it felt like stepping into a postcard. The beach itself was refreshingly uncrowded — plenty of space to breathe, stretch out, and truly relax. Natural tree shade keeps things cool without losing that open-air feel, and comfortable cots from the hotel service made settling in for the day completely effortless. The pool deserves its own mention. It's enormous — beautifully designed with varying depths so there's a perfect spot for everyone, from little ones playing in the shallow end to adults doing laps in the deep end. What really makes it special is the activities — there's always something going on that adds energy and fun to the atmosphere without ever feeling overwhelming. We spent just as much time at the pool as we did at the beach. The food is a genuine highlight. Fresh, beautifully prepared seafood, hearty and satisfying Italian dishes, and easy poolside snacks cover every mood and appetite throughout the day. The drinks are a cut above — carefully crafted with their own fresh-grown greens that you can actually taste in every sip. No corners cut here. What ties everything together is the cleanliness and warmth of the staff. The entire property is spotless, and every team member makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended."

"Everything about Casa Chameleon was impeccable. The friendly staff, the complimentary daily breakfast and the clean rooms made the experience even more enjoyable. The property had immaculate views overlooking the ocean and the Catalinas town that is relatively new with condos shops and restaurants and a beautiful beach club. My next trip to Costa Rica, I I’ll be staying here. If you are looking for a relaxed, calm vacation vibe, Casa Chameleon is for you!"

"Just a heads up that this is not a typical hotel experience. The property feels more like a quiet, underdeveloped residential area than a full-service hotel, which may or may not be what you’re looking for. There were very limited services and amenities, and whenever we asked staff for help, they often seemed confused or unsure how to assist. It felt less like hospitality and more like we were inconveniencing them, which was disappointing—especially given that we were there for our honeymoon. The hotel itself is nice enough and the rooms are clean, but the overall experience didn’t match expectations. The property was nearly empty during our stay (we only saw a couple of other guests), yet we were given a city-facing room instead of an ocean view. When we asked if there were other options, we were told the hotel was fully booked, which didn’t align with what we were seeing. The broader development also felt a bit unusual—very quiet, somewhat sterile, and lacking the character or energy you might expect in a destination like Costa Rica. Overall, it’s not a bad place, but it’s important to set expectations before booking."

"We had a wonderful stay, we had a few questions along the way and Jorge and Mindy were always quick to answer! We enjoyed the pool and cabana area after long days at the beach, and it was such a treat to have our laundry taken care of by Maria. "

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and loved the full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and outdoor seating area. The pool is large and warm and we had it all to ourselves all 3 days we went swimming. (Closes at 7pm so slight improvement would be longer hours.) Grocery store a couple minute walk away so very convenient if you want to get supplies for some meals. Location would feel inconvenient if you do not have a rental car. (Beach access is a long walk). But with a car we loved how it was central to so many beaches! Tip: bring your own dish soap and cloth as they don’t provide. Also the beds are only made up with sheets, but when we asked for blankets it was no issue to get them."

"The house and our stay was amazing! Maricela (House Mom) was so kind and kept everything tidy for us. Don’t miss the view from the rooftop deck, especially at sunset. We loved the pool area as well. Be sure to get a four-wheel-drive vehicle if you’re staying here or driving to any attractions… there are some bumpy roads on the way from the airport. Thank you for the beautiful vacation spot! "
