"Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Room was clean. Air conditioned work. This hotel was more than a four star. Standard room is small. We upgraded to the junior suite and enjoyed it immensely. Beach 5 minute walk. restaurants 3 minutes. Grocery stores across the street. "

"This was a beautiful stay and perfect for our family of four. The property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful. When we arrived, it seemed the cleaning staff had not been as thorough as they should have been, or perhaps there had been a lengthy period between the home being cleaned and our arrival. I shared minor concerns with the property manager, and the cleaning staff arrived the next morning. The home was spotless and beautiful when we returned from lunch. We had a great time using the pool, the deck, and relaxing in the hope. The kitchen was well stocked. Easy access to beaches and other impressive exploration opportunities. We'd definitely book this home again. "

"Our group of 14 said this was the best trips we've ever had as a family, if not the best! When my husband and I travel solo, we enjoy resorts with exceptional service- such as Rosewood or the Four Seasons- and Villa Buena Onda exceeded our expectations. In a private rental you usually don't get the same level of service as you do at a resort (nor do I expect it). However, Villa Buena Onda provides a full service experienceFrom before booking to check out, Charlie was amazing! He replied promptly with detail to my questions (I had a lot)On a day to day basis, we had Samuel, Ashley &Nela on staff. Nela made delicious meals every day and was so sweet to make a cake for one of our guest's birthday. Ashley & Samuel took care of anything we needed during the day. A few went deep sea fishing. Samuel offered to clean the fish and then staff prepared it for lunch for us (even though we did not have lunch included in our meal plan- more on that later- and expected to clean the fish ourselves).The villa was gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable & well stocked.The grounds and outdoor setup provide your own private oasis. The covered lounge area with fans made it pleasant to sit outside all day by the pool. The spa is a nice touch and recommended. I recommend adding the full bar to the meal plan. We opted NOT to do it because there were a couple people in our group who don't drink, but in hindsight it would have been easier and well worth it. I highly recommend Villa Buena Onda!"

"This was a fantastic base to stay in to explore Guanacaste while enjoying the Pacifico facilities. The kitchen is quite well stocked, bed was comfortable, AC fanastic, balcony is gorgeous and shaded, and access to the pickleball courts/poolside bar service/pool were so so so enjoyed!! Grocery store so close by was also a fanastic feature of staying here. Oscar's place was comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Oscar was also great to communicate with. Definitely would recommend staying here to friends and family! "

"The room was excellent and the beach club was even better. The food and drinks were great. The servers made sure that you always had a drink when you wanted it. The infinity pools were amazing. Definitely a must book place when coming to Playas del Coco"

"Thank you! We enjoyed the views. Great for bird watching! Easy to find and very spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed, but keep in mind you will need to bring your own coffee and condiments. Showers were nice! Beds were all extremely firm. "

"The property was clean upon arrival; however, serious issues arose that were not properly addressed. On the first night, a water leak developed in the master bathroom ceiling. The temporary fix involved tubes hanging from the ceiling, draining water near an electrical light fixture and into the soaking tub, rendering the tub unusable and creating a clear safety hazard. The ceiling was cut open and left exposed for the entire duration of our stay, raising concerns about mold, potential ceiling collapse, and electrical risks.Despite multiple calls to management, no meaningful action was taken. The property should not have been rented in this condition. Additionally, the washing machine stopped working during our stay and was never repaired, making it unusable as well.Overall, management was unresponsive, and the issues significantly impacted our stay. I would not recommend this property."
