Room was tidy and clean on surfaces and bedding appeared clean, but chairs and carpet needed a clean. Room smelt strongly of stale cigarettes. Spa bath was awesome. Shower great with very high pressure.

Very clean property internally, good sized rooms and facilities overall. Smell of smoke in the room due to people below smoking outside a lot was a little bit of a down side.

Worth a look in Hamilton
Great value stay close to Seddon Park and the CBD. Spacious and comfortable. Would recommend.

The room was good but a little dark being where it was, not a lot of natural light. I realise there is a housing shortage but it was a bit disconcerting having most of the motel filled with people waiting for homes and the amount of smoking outside rooms was a bit unpleasant.

I am not sure if this property is being used for emergency housing, in a few of the units. either that or a few rough looking guys/families stayed when I was there. Great if it was but I did feel a bit vulnerable as a solo stayer. Great spa bath, large clean motel room and plenty of parking,

Very good location; good room with a spa; good customer service; overall good value. A mirror in the lounge and bedroom would be very handy; with the mirror in the bathroom, one can't get ready if someone is using the bathroom.

the place was ok .. cockroach on the spare bed hard to find a place with out them tho .. the rest of the room was spotless and clean. only thing was the bed was as hard as nails after a nice soak in spa bath was relaxed but woke up stiff and sore from bed been so hard

The room was SPOTLESS. Probably the cleanest motel I've ever been in. The shower was powerful, everything worked, there was every amenity i could want. Added bonus was the full Sky TV package and fantastic Air Con.

This was just a last minute stopover stay in Hamilton while travelling by car to Auckland from the lower north island. I didn't require anything special - and the price I paid was low - so I certainly didn't have high expectations. And overall it was fine with easy access, off street parking and set in a central location close to the city centre. But, in saying that, the carpet in the room was disgustingly bad with all sorts of stains. Not a great sight, and it hardly made for pleasant stay.

Good location and friendly staff at check-in. Room itself was okay but it had an overwhelming purfume smell from a wall spritzer. Wasn't sure why it was so strong but then when people in a neighbouring room came outside for a cigarette the smell came inside mine - I guess the perfume is there to balance that out. Anyway it was quite overpowering. There was also a lot of noise from other guests oitsidein the carpark and on the balconies during the evening. I would probably look at other options before staying here again.

Reasonable, but not flash condition. Some curtains not closing fully, latches off windows broken, a bit grubby and worn on walls & ceilings but overall clean. Double bed a little short for me (189cm tall, 6"4'). Relatively noisy neighbours outside.

Disappointing- doubles as temporary social housing
Good location, rooms adequate but tired. You should know that the motel is also used for social housing - there were unsupervised children roaming the grounds as well as a number of adults sitting about drinking, smoking and playing loud music. Felt quite uncomfortable staying there although nothing untoward happened. Maybe I am a snob but I wouldn’t stay here again

Close to where i needed to be. Clean and tidy. Linen was white, clean and bed was comfortable. I didnt really see the point in all the lights on or off. At least have one light being able to turn on or off or if cant have a diming dial.

We have stayed in many hotel rooms in Hamilton but the Anglesea would have to be the largest room configuration with ample space and excellent service. I would highly recommend their service as they go out of their way to take care of you

Unfortunately on arrival we requested a refund due to the fact that this motel is being used as ‘short term’ housing for the government. Kids, adults smoking and drinking gathering in common areas & carpark. Just not a relaxing atmosphere or inviting.

No light bulb in socket over bed. Mirror badly pitted in bathroom. Room reeked of so called smell neutraliser. Paid top dollar for a studio Hamilton was very busy. $297.50 . Below average place to stay.

The aircon was broken, we could even open a window more then like 2 inchs it didnt feel safe to open the door and leave open ,i think they had other families living there under the winz scheme, crying screaming kids everywhere.someone tryed to open my door ,i was woken up by a couple yelling a swearing ,will never stay again ever ,and all i wanted was a spa bath and it did not work.

This is a permanent housing motel with guests mingling in car park al night, casual stayers should be informed before booking/ manager tried to charge me twice for the room and was not easy to work with, was worried about car security and excessive noise made it difficult to sleep.

I won't be back..Unit smelt, had windows open to try and air out (cold July afternoon) spabath had high tide mark so not clean. Heatpump didn't go and only 1 blanket in cupboard. Parking, well, wherever you can really. I think the place is an emergency housing facility. Kids running all around carpark, noisy neighbours in other units...Avoid!!

Didn't stay here and still got charged. It smelled horrible and I couldn't breathe and started to wheeze (probably used the strong deodorizer to cover mold). Kids running all over the place. Not sure why it has such a high rating... they must be posting there own.
