Beautiful property with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forest. Staff were incredibly helpful and helped arrange transportation for our large group. They were family-friendly as well with child-size yukata and slippers, unlimited tokens for the ice cream machine in the lobby, and children’s plates and cutlery available in the restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner (we did the shabu shabu option) were amazing, although those who tend to stick to western options only may be disappointed (their loss). Both public onsen are peaceful and have their own unique styles, so it’s worth taking a dip in each. Amazing experience overall. I hope to be back.

Room was very very big and clean. Staff were really detailed in explaining how things work and the food was really good too. The semi buffet for dinner, and breakfast buffet was very enjoyable. Would definitely come back again!

I had a wonderful time at Ten-Yu. There are different types of Onsen in the facility. The infinite pool onsen , water fall onsen and bubble stream onsen. Must try the omelette and French toast in the morning Buffett . The kaiseki dinner change daily if you stay more than one day. The cocktail special in the bar was very tasty the staff is very attentive. I would go back again next time. Jerry (yen Ju)

This property is beautiful and very relaxing. The private onsen on the balcony was a dream. It’s so lush in the surrounding areas. It was amazing just to soak in the hot springs bath in the quiet of the outdoors. We were a little concerned because of the reviews. There is nothing to be concerned about if you understand what you’re getting. It’s a quiet resort with not much close by. There is a Family Mart if you aren’t eating at the restaurant but that’s it. We explored Hakone for the day and took the bus to a stop right in front of the hotel. We didn’t use the shuttle from Gore Station. If you have lots of luggage, you might want to taxi. We did the kaseiki meal. We had hoped it would be in the room, as we thought was traditional, but it was in the restaurant. The food wasn’t our favorite but the service was nice. We’re very glad we went as a day trip/single overnight from Tokyo.

I couldn’t get over how amazing this place was. We went for our honeymoon and wish we stayed two nights instead of one. We got a room with the open air bath and a great view of Forrest Valley. It was beautiful, a much needed soak in the tub after walking for days. The staff is great and so friendly. We had dinner at their Teppanyaki restaurant which was the best dinner we’ve had in Japan. The next morning, we had a quiet stroll to Chisuji Falls and stumbled upon a beautiful garden on the way. We’re definitely coming back and staying longer in Hakone. PS. If you have tattoos, you will not be allowed in the public natural hot springs, bring a suit that will cover up or buy patches that I believe they sell there. Luckily, we had our own natural hot springs tub and were able to enjoy a nice soak. You must go!

We stayed for two nights and love that the facilities and amenities are so comprehensive, because when the weather was not in our favour, we still managed to enjoy the beautiful onsen, warm foot baths, pretty garden, live music, free flow beverages and the calming view from our spacious room. The bedding is absolutely comfortable and snug, and i slept so well. Even though the hotel is quite large, it manages to maintain a luxurious feel and generally quiet ambience. The breakfast is excellent! The choices and quality is great. There is a sheltered walkway to the neighbouring hotel Yunnesun which has a Family Mart.

The room was very noisy with street noise and noise from rooms on either side of us. The room furniture was quite worn. The shuttle bus stopped at 1640 while we arrived later due to train issues. We had no means of communicating our late arrival, Expedia messages did not get delivered so we almost missed our dinner and were rushed through by Ten-Yu. Very difficult to find the hotel from Gora station in the dark and rain. Need signage at depot for after hours transportation. Lots of tourists diffusing the anticipated zen the hotel has potential for. We did enjoy the onsens, especially rotating venues every other day to enjoy the beautiful areas. Staff was very helpful during our stay.

My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and were extremely impressed with the hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and having our own bath thay can be drawn with hot spring water was a huge plus. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the public onsen if you have tattoos, but we were still avle to make the best of it. Highly recommend getting the dinner and breakfast options!

It’s one of the best hotels I have stayed in Japan. Beautiful property, friendly staff, private and public onsen, soaking area for feet, complimentary wine/coffee/tea/icecream in lobby, water park for kids, kids play area on 3rd floor. We all just loved this place. We took advantage of walking in the garden, cocktail lounge Can’t get any better than this. They also have a shuttle to Gora station. Wish we had stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the spa also.

Nice and attentive service. In room onsen tub can be bigger. Kaiseki dinner can be better in terms of seafood culinary cooking methods since some of the seafood is fresh but tastes quite fishy. Would be better if we chose the plan with breakfast. Breakfast selection is great with sparkling wine, red and white wine. Lobby beverage and ice cream are nice for guests. First floor garden is very nice with several waterfalls. Public onsen has nice views.

Staffs service was excellent. Dining (both dinner and breakfast) experience was amazing! They offer beauty and great taste. I wanted to try everything but I was too full to finish. Onsen bath, sauna were nicely layout and enjoyable. Our room had a bathtub on the balcony, so we tried “ Ashiyu” feeling nice country air. My son really liked free ice cream after bath.
