"This beautiful spot along the Abercrombie River was the ideal setting for a getaway with friends. Our group of six stayed in the Barn, which exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. The Barn is designed perfectly for a group, with comfortable beds, open style living and an amazing kitchen that is well-stocked with quality cooking equipment, making self-catering a breeze. We spent much of our time enjoying the views from this fantastic accommodation, but we also ventured out for some bushwalking and exploration in the nearby National Park. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub. There’s something magical about soaking in warm water outdoors while gazing at the expansive night sky filled with stars. It was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. Another charming aspect of our visit was the two dogs on the property, Jackson and Mitchel, both Australian Kelpies. They joined us on our bushwalks, and their presence made our experience even more enjoyable. All in all, I can’t think of anything that could have improved our stay. Just a tip for future visitors: make sure to bring all your essentials, such as milk, corn cakes, and bread, as it’s quite a journey to return for forgotten items. Abercrombie Ridge truly offers a luxurious camping experience without the hassle of tents, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with friends. "

"The property was just as described. The kids had a ball. We had four families (8 adults, 8 children). Each couple had their own room which had an ensuite and the kids all bunked in the one room. There was plenty of room for everyone to come together or have their own space. Even though the road to the caves was closed we drive 30 minute to a walk and waterfall which the kids enjoyed the adventure. Jacqui was so quick to respond to any questions and we saw her each day feeding the animals."

"Eugenia’s home offered a true piece of heaven overlooking the serene landscape adjoining Lake Oberon. We drove past admiring the breath taking view with giant granite boulders dotted all along the water’s edge, and sheep peacefully grazing on the hills, not realising this would be our vista for the weekend. Her home is welcoming and clean, and well adorned with her travels and interests, which make for a relaxing place for visitors wanting to unwind and indulge in some reading or board games, or enjoy some of the delicious cheeses, bread and wine she kindly gifts her guests, whilst seated enjoying the waterscape and peaceful surroundings, or the cosiness of the indoor spaces. The beds are all very comfortable, and the rooms are all beautifully tranquil with lots of bedding and blankets to snuggle up warm. Her home is stocked with everything one may need. We travelled our 3&6 year old girls and had every need met to easily self cater. The provided milk and eggs and spreads were also a nice touch - our girls thought this was the lux farm life and never enjoyed eggs, butter, vegemite, pb&j on toast that much! There are easy walking and running paths to and around the lake, and people may easily fish there too. Eugenia was very responsive and forward thinking with her communications, and very accommodating. She also offered many suggestions of activities and places of interest, with information about possible travel restrictions too. Altogether we had a wonderful stay."
